Hey guys,

(Mods let me know if this is not cool)

A lot of you might not know but my wife has been a professional painter for about 5 years now.

her site is www.ironhalo.n et

today we just launched a new section selling resin cast bases.

http://ironhalo.net/store//catalog/index.php

initially it will be just bases for 40K and fantasy, but we have plans for other bases.

As part of the launch we are having an opening sale. if you order more than $25 US before midnight sunday the 10th of Feb, you get 20% off. to do this you need to enter the following code into the coupon box exactly -FIRSTWEEK

And if you create an account, sign up for our newsletter, which will have news, new products and other specials.

We will also be gearing up to sponsor NZ tournaments, but i have not thought that far ahead yet.

If you have any comments on the site, or spot any glitches (bound to be, as i used a computer) email us at sales@ironhalo.net

Cheers

Alan

Hi Guys,

This week sees the launch of 6 new products; one entire new line of bases, currently with 4 entries, and 2 sets of accessories.

The Gothic Graveyard series of bases allows you to field an army marching across a run down graveyard. the models can either be walking across as normal or on some of the bases there is an indent so that you can have models crawling out of the ground.

we have also made a series of crypts, for you to make your own bases or cool terrain, and the crypt lids, also work on the Cavalry bases.  The Cavlry and 50mm Crypt means you can either have a model quite deep into the ground and crawling out (think undead cavalry leaping out of their grave) or riding across a nicely details crypt lid).

we also have a range of grave markers so you can detail your bases or terrain or just for counters. the image for them will be up in a day.

and finally, the first of our rank bases has been released. the current set is 20mm by 100mm, and over the next short while we will update the other sqaure ranges with them as well, and also add in the 25mm by 125mm bases.

By the end of the week, we will have a set of 40mm square Gothic Graveyard bases, another 50mm, and a 50, by 100mm.

The bases can be found at:

http://ironhalo.net/store//catalog/index.php?cPath=21_36

and the accessories at:

http://ironhalo.net/store//catalog/index.php?cPath=23

any questions please let us know on sales@ironhalo.net

Cheers

Another update!

i have been asked by a few people what the bases look like with models on them, and if you can have models crawling out of the ground.

i grabbed my small collection of zombie parts and as well as finding a heap of arms and some spare heads, could only find 5 torsos and 2 pairs of legs.

so i used 5 of the 20mm bases and 3 of the 20x100mm bases to make a regiment of 20. i would ideally want a couple more full zombies for the front rank at least, but this is a cheap way to block out a unit and use up all the extras you get.

So some pics:

zombies on some of the 20mm square bases:

Zombies on the 20x100mm rank bases

Both types of bases combined into a unit;

all of these pics are up in the store in teh gothic graveyard section;

any questions please let me know.

Hey guys,

I've been looking to get into terrain for a while, and with a couple false starts got my first piece finished.

As i have been getting into Infinity and also watched Batman Begins more than a few times, i thought it would be cool to have a battle over a shipping yard.

So i made up a Shipping Container:

Nice and simple to put together, its taken me about 5 minutes to assemble each one so far.

If you get motivated you can make the doors open. and of course the more you get the more options you have.

Hi guys,

Another update with two new product releases:

We have just released two 60mm round bases for our Deus Ex Machina Range of bases, which makes this range almost complete for round bases.

Deus ex Machina bases are designed with a mix of clockwork machinery, tiles and wood, that you can paint up to look like a working clockwork world or add foliage and sand, then paint rust effects to show an abandoned construction. So if you want to show your models on a clockwork nightmare, or storming a steampunk world, these are the bases for you.

Coming Soon: Deus Ex Machina Base inserts for Dark Age/Warmachine Bases.

The full Deus Ex Machina Range of bases can be found at:

http://ironhalo.net/store//catalog/index.php?cPath=21_32

Any questions please email us on: painting@ironhalo.net

4 new releases this week.

First up is the much asked about Deus Ex Machina Base inserts.

we have the large ones ready this week and the small and medium are right behind them and should be done very soon.

Secondly, we have added 3 new round bases sizes to our range.

100mm Round, 120mm Round and 150mm Round.

We are starting with the Generic Range so you can add your own designs to the bases, but rest assured that these bases will be added to each of our existing lines in due course.

Very good for drop pods, defilers and other large models.

Any questions please ask.

probably the 100mm as i think (from memory) they are about 70mm across teh engines, or about 95 mm if you include the fins. so it depends on whether you want to have any scenery on the base or not, for whether you use the 100mm or the 120mm.

Ironhalo.net have released new movement trays to complement their existing range, allowing you to have the same look and feel for War of the Rings.

With a lot of our customers using our bases for Lord of the Rings SBG (including us), we decided it would be a good idea to make movement trays that matched our bases.

So far we have 5 of our ranges completed which can be viewed at; https://ironhalo.net/store//catalog/index.php?cPath=42

Southern Sands

The keep

Brickworks

The Fens

Wyldewoode

Currently on the workbench are trays for Valhalla and down the track we will have some more as well.

here are some photos of my models on the trays, the photos did not come as well on these, so we are redoing them, but you can see whats going on.

Keep an eye out this week as we have more releases coming up for a number of ranges, and from the start of April, a new competition.

Another new range this week.

the Sulphur plains range looks the part for a volcanic wasteland or a rocky area.

They take to drybrushing very well, and with the addition of some water effect for Slime etc, could make a great alien landscape.

Currently we have the bases available in

25mm Round

40mm Round

60mm Round (two types)

100mm Round

Bike bases, and the 120mm and 150mm are on the workbench being finished. The bases are also planned for release in square sizes and Base inserts.

Keep an eye out this week for more new releases and also a competition.

New Release from Ironhalo.net

Ironhalo.net is proud to be releasing the 2nd of our terrain products, and the first product in a different scale! A lot of you would have seen these at Natcon, where they made a big hit.

We have released a set of modular trench pieces that can be used for 1/300 scale or even 10mm, or 15mm.

These pieces allow you to make a trench that conforms to the shape you want, and by being open backed you don’t have to worry about the size of the models base using it, making it easy to use across different games.

During the testing of the product, we quite enjoyed having dogfights and bombing runs in Aeronautica Imperialis over them, as my Tau tried to gun down entrenched imperial tanks.

Each of the types of piece is available in its own set and we also have two larger sets, which can help you get a bunch of trenches for a good discount.

In the coming months we will be adding to the range, with some bunkers, command posts and other items, to flesh out your trenches.

Hope you enjoy them and we look forward to seeing photos of battles over them.

Cheers,

Rachel and Alan B
Ironhalo.net

all of the Trenches can be found here:

https://ironhalo.net/store//catalog/index.php?cPath=22

A couple of updates for everyone.

1. Credit cards. after a long dull night playing with sql and php files, i have managed to get the store to accept credit cards. this is still done via paypal, but you do not need to have a paypal account to do this. Just follow the instructions and you will be fine. If it does not work for some reason, email us at painting@ironhalo.net and we will see if we can fix it.

2. Multiple Currencies. Up till now we have only accepted USD and NZD, well as part of the fix with credit cards, the store now accepts payments in Euro, OZ dollar, and Pounds. use whichever you want.

3. Painting competition. we are running a competition at the moment for the best painted models on our bases. this was to end at the end of the month, but we have had a lot of requests, so we are extending this for 3 weeks until the 19th of July.

4. New Products.

We have a new line of bases out later this week, but today we are announcing the release of a new size of base.

the large oval base is ideal for any large flyers or monsters you have, and the weight of the resin will be a good anchor for your flying model.

7 of them are available now, and Rachel is busy painting up number 8.

all of them can be found in the Round bases section https://ironhalo.net/store//catalog/index.php?cPath=21_34 , but for now, here are each of them:

Battlefield of Thran:

Tauran Refinery

The Keep

The Fens

Southern Sands

Valhalla

Wyldewoode

Hope you enjoy this update, there will be another one at the end of this week.

as always if yo uhave any questions or comments, we would love to hear them.

Hi Everyone,

Ironhalo has just released a new set of bases.

We have made a new size of base to fit a gap in our range.

this base is slightly larger than a 60mm round, but not so big as to overshadow the model.

they are ideal for Attack bikes, larger models, and as an alternate flying base.

We have made a Generic version so you can create your own design and have also added a version to 12 of our current ranges, with the remaining coming soon.

Here is one of my old attack bikes on the Generic base.

And here are the other bases.

All the bases can be seen at

https://ironhalo.net/store//catalog/index.php?cPath=44_69

Keep an eye out for a new base range theme next week.

Cheers,

Alan and Rachel
