In light of some recent attacks from spam-bots, I've had to make a couple of changes to the way new members register on this forum. From now on, all potential members require approval by myself or Lumpy. Don't worry, we won't be engaging in detailed interviews and psychological assessments - we just need to verify that potential members are actually real people and not spammers (usually a quick look at the name of the member, their email & IP address is all it takes).
If you don't hear anything in a couple of days please email info@cityguard.co.nz with your name and username so we can find you in the mountain of spam email that amounts very quickly. Thanks.
Once approved, the new member needs to activate their account before they can start posting. I realize this isn't an ideal situation, but it's the best way of filtering out the spammers as it involves actual human interaction. Apologies to those who need to post quickly, but I endeavour to check the boards at least once a day, so it shouldn't be too great a delay.
We'd also appreciate it if new members could use the Introduce Yourself thread to say hi. Only then will we acknowledge your existence as an actual person.
Just kidding, but it's nice to introduce yourself - you'll find we're a pretty friendly bunch.
Happy Posting!
