a sorcerer lord with MR3, favor of the gods joins a unit of tzeentch chaos knights with Banner of discipline

enchanted by a warshrine.

guaranteed stubborn, 3+ ward save on turn 2 unless I roll double 1?

turn 1 rolled 3, 4 or 5.
turn 2 rolled 3,4 or 5 which you can then use eye of the gods to +/-1 then rereoll.

rulebook stated max armor save is 1+, so if I rolled 6, I can then rereoll.

if I rolled a 7, then I can use the eye to make it a 6 or 8 and then rereoll.

if I rolled a 8, my sorcerer lord already has MR3, so I reroll.

if I rolled 9, I can change it to 8 or 10, so I reroll.

if I rolled a 10, the knight cause fear so I reoll.

if I rolled a 11, I can chnage it to 12.


3+ ward, stubborn guaranteed.

The rulebook says that the save is maxed out at +1, but thats the throw; the character can have less than that check out the rulebook faq.

You could also argue that the rule say's if you have a 'duplicate gift' ...ones like fear/terror say reroll if you already...
The magic resistance doesn't so a TO might say the MR from your sorcerer lord doesn't count.

FAQ states you can go below 1+ but always count as 1+.

The WOC specifically says you can go to 0+, doesn't it? Which overrules the BRB.

I'm going to face that army in 2 weeks time, need to know how to deal with it.  Wink

now I need to know how to deal with spirit leeching mage, gate way mage, puppet, hellcannon and horde khorne, GW armed marauders of death.

Chaos Knights with War-shrine go to 0+.

Not 100% sure on the MR3, as Sorcerer has MR3, but warshrine is onto the 'unit' (its similar to putting a fear causing character into a unit).


With Ogres, take Tyrant with 'Other Tricksters Shard' in a Gutstar with Dragonhide Banner.... (better if you get regen onto them) I have charged 20 3+ ward Tz chosen + BSB + Sorc lord and wiped them out.

Alternatively feed them Sabretusks and wipe out the rest of the army.

i think the FAQ. says that if you have the stupid hat in the unit and you roll the stupid result do you get to reroll. answer no its just takes no more effect.

only fear result and terror say re roll , so i would say if you roll mr3 and you have it already it works like stupid
