If anyone is keen Privateer Press are putting on 35 point bundles for the various factions of warmachine and hordes for christmas time.
Not sure how much you save but worth a look.

Some of them aren't bad!  You might want to consult some of the veterans before you buy though, some of those starter sets are notoriously bad in terms of including models that most wind up not using in a competitive tournament environment - rare, but it happens.

I bought a circle battlebox a while back and I can really get by without ever using those models down the track.  But on the other hand, I deliberately bought the 2 player battle box that came out, because I knew that the menoth stuff would generally come in handy for my large menoth force.

Are you thinking of getting one of the packs?

the way i see it...
-you get to have free dice, markers/tokens, and tape measure
-you can keep the models you need and sell those you don't
-keep the plastic heavies to use their chassis for the upgrades
-good if you are starting an army or looking for models to fill up your current one
-I personally think that some bundles are good and worth it and some... uhhh... maybe ^_^

I haven't looked at the bundles at all this year; but I know that last year they were more about giving people outside the game a good present/purchase option without having to do hours of research.

The Dice and Tape Measures are highly restricted, so hard to get outside of these packs which, to a collector might be a major draw card; but if you're not that fussed about them, and you know what you want ... then I'm not sure them and the tokens make up for the free shipping + good discounts you can find elsewhere.
