Damn mate, that is just getting f@#ked up, I knew the were anal ( two NZ GW stores tried to convince me that there is no product on the market removes paint off figures) but that is just taking the cake. I don't see their point, your still playing Warhammer with GW figures (I could at a stretch if you used 100% non GW product).
Santa can't come soon enough with your new naughty dwarf book.

I use Simple Green on plastic and metal. It just depends on what kind of paint was used on the miniature, plus Green is great for getting super glue off figures.

Depending on the paint, it can peel easy like a skin, GW paints is great to remove.

Getting back to your original post, I dont think their is a hobbystore, especially one with a gaming table, aside from GW Sylvia Park. Gaming stores are dying breed, as most people buy their product online these days or have become more of a consule or pc gamer.
Just ashame the ones in New Market closed down.

i remember that i went in there years ago i closed down not long after the owner used to be the manager at the gw in leicester my old store i used to go to. it was a nice little store he had an old school gaint with a hook for a hand look brilliant

i dont mind to much the gaming at a club side of things thats ok but picking up paint and stuff will be a pain in arse is vagas in the city the closest other gaming outlet?

i use brake fluid for stripping doesnt wear any detail off and will remove any paint type, just place enoungh in a container to submerge the model (weight it down if you have to) wait 24hrs. remove the model the paint will have come away from the model use old toothbrush to scrub away then rinse under warm water and leave to dry.
