This is aimed at the Flames of War folks. I'm looking to buy an army and came across this http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=419602043

Is it any good? It expires while I'm at the club tomorrow (playing FOW with Paul), but if it gets relisted, I might have a go.

Cheers

Maybe. I would find out the cost price of the tanks and see if there is any savings. i think tanks normaly about $70 - 100 a box. so looking at that army 2nd hand i would pay max maybe $200 for this the $250 would be the most i would go you are saving about $100. They do look like they are made ok so if u not keen to make them this might be the way to go.

Not sure how it would play i would ask Monkey.

Tanks are about seventeen dollars a blister so you would be pretty much paying for the tanks and getting the infantry for free so dollar wise is a good deal

As a whole the army would make a pretty good late war Grenadier force with a couple more items or you could easily make a Heavy tank army .... They could also be used to throw together a mid war force

So not a bad deal if .... as Laz says you dont want to assemble anything, and this is the army you want to play. Grin

Germans are a fairly forgiving first army

Thanks for that info guys.

Still not sure which army I'll plump for, but I saw that one for sale and wondered about it.

As for Germans being very forgiving..... the irony is palpable Cheesy
