Was thinking over a few things and was wondering what was the preference for tournaments of the general gaming community?

Myself, I prefer a bit of everything so I can wander around and see different games in action throughout the day when I have spare time while some prefer to be just among peers playing their chosen game? What is you preference and why?

Although I only play WHFB, I cretainly enjoy tournaments where all different systems are represented, my only regret is never having enough time to go look at other things, oh for a 'by', so I could check out FoW! But they keep making me play and play and play, and I have no time Sad

It also depends on the size of the venue  whether u can have different systems or only one

Of course, the venue does limit the number of players. I like to be able to move about the room without fear of bumping into players.
I agree with Aaron, the more the merrier.

It is sometimes hard to decide what you want to play.
If its a one day event, I'd choose Mordhiem over WHFB.
Two day events and its a coin toss Smiley

Wow, fairly unanimous decision on the most popular tournament format!! But still not many responses about why people prefer the multi-system events?

What is the draw card for most of you? I know that a lot of us play more than one system so what would make you choose one system over another at a multi-system event? or is it more like Derick and its a coin toss?

I know a few people who have moved to other systems as their main interest currently, more chance of getting everyone to the same place really.

Don't see the point in segregating the wargaming community.

Just a matter for venue dictating what numbers you can host. If you're looking at about 40-50 ppl then venues are not an issue booking 3-6months out from event (bar Nov-Dec). If you're looking at booking a venue for 60-100+ then you need to book 9-12months ahead.

Having the whole community attend a multi-event Tournament is good for enjoyment and moral. Seeing all systems support each other and turn out as a community is the bees knees.
