Welcome aboard good sir. You'll find we're a pretty reaxed bunch of people here. You probably already know, but just in case, we meet at the Freemans Bay hall every Sunday from 1-5pm. You can tee up a game on these forums or take pot luck on the day (there's usually someone looking for a fight, oops, game Smiley ).

Welcome old bean. Just pop around to the club, we're open every Sunday at 13:00. There is always someone willing to help out. You can also book a game with someone in the...erm... game booking part of these forums.

greetings to you all, fellow gamers!

online name: meaty nosebleeds
real name: Claire van der Goes, or if you really want to get fancy, you can call me by my dutch name, Marijke (i dare you to pronouce it)
position in club: honorary member (will not be a regular attendee at club meets due to large distances that have to be traversed)
games i play: ...
minis i paint: just about everything i can get my calloused little farmer's hands onto, mostly focusing on gw minis, but several other brands have made it into my collection.  i have massed (unfinished) armies of Tyranids, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Exosists (using a space marine codex), and soon to start on Exosists using a Grey Knights codex, maybe some Warhammer Deamons, plus a LOT of models that have made it into my collection because i really REALLY wanted to paint them.

...and i have only been in the hobby for a couple of years ^^;

 Hey Claire,

 Didn't know you were into WH40K  - would you like an opponent some time to get two of your forces on the board at once? Like to try the game . . . Smiley

 Covert Walrus

that is a very intresting offer.  i may take you up on that, i just need to get the armies fully painted and/or expanded.  i don't actually have enough to field a fully sized force yet (i'm working on it!).  also depends on when i can get up to Auckland too, as i live the better part of 3 hours away.  but i will let you know when i'm up.

Welcome aboard Mitchell. A newbie and you're playing in NiCon - Well done. Best way to get into it. There's almost always someone ready to battle on Sunday at the club (although you can book a game here on the forums if you want a measure of certainty). Heroclix is every second Sunday. This Sunday (April 29) is a sealed pack game. You can play in that as Steve is always looking for more players. All you pay for are the boxes of figures on the day ($40 I think).

Not a newbie to Warhammer haha, i thought it was talking about the forum/club.

Yea thinking i might come down this weekend and have a game of 40k, need to find the address though somewhere, with heroclix it is tempting to do that 40$ thing i just really need the money for 4 new tanks for nicon. But otherwise maybe in the near future.

Thanks
Mitch
