as we are in the middle of the sporting event we cant mention with out being shut down and given some jail time. I have watched heaps of games of the 15 man code and from the 4 yearly cup these are my picks as the best games ever more than anything in terms of drama

1987 france vs aussie the french number 4 almost knocks his self out making a key tackle and blanco scoring in the corner to win it for the french. maybe the best most forgoten game ever

1991 scotland vs england good old fashioned northern style rugby 6-9 to england gavin hastings misses a sitter england go up to other end and score a drop kick to make the final.

1999 new zealand vs france. going in to the game the frogs had just got past fiji and finished bottom of the 5 nations. i had seen 2 years before philip bernard salles score a try for france A VS england A he looked like he was 40 with grey hair socks rounds his ankles and a scruffy look about him, but he was lightning and in that semi he was in good form as well along side dare i say it my faviorite frenchman olivier magne

1995 World Cup final in SA, even with food poisoning the ABs put on a hell of a game, the boks won got a crap one sided movie about their historic win. But at the end of the day, the ABs proved themselves to the be true heroes of that World Cup.

The film 'Invictus' had nothing to do with rugby as such. It was a political film about the country. I was there. I lived through it. The film was accurate.

As for the ABs being poisoned. God, I hope so... Wink. Otherwise they'd have had no excuse. Wonder what happened in '91, '99, '03, '07?

Maybe every team that doesn't win every 4 nears needs to blame refs, poisonings, etc? Poor old France...can't even win it once...bloody ref!

Just saying...

That's why I prefer table top gaming. Less wingeing involved in the manly art of  toy soldier competition... Grin
