On a recent trip to Warhammer/Forge World I purchased Kazyk The Befouled on Rotbeast and Sayl The Faithless with Spawn, both cool models for my WC. The guy behind the counter at FW opened the bags to make sure all the parts were there, he was sure they were, all good, not.
I got back to London, decided to have a nosey at my new purchases and doh, Kazyk was missing his sword arm and Sayl had a broken staff, bugger. But a quick call to FW and replacement parts were off to be molded.
I just got back to NZ on Saturday and wondered how long it would take for FW to send repacement bits, then a knock at the door an ago hour today by a friendly UPS courier and my new casted missing parts were here. Sweet and even better Sayl came with an extra body so my WC now gets 3 new characters (plus the finecast ones I bought ).
The replacement parts arrived within two weeks, nice going FW.
Finally a nice story about GW, maybe I should buy a lotto ticket, as this is a rare thing indeed.

That's pretty solid turn around.

So I'm a little confused about how it all works, Forgeworld is owned by GW, but run as a separate entity?

Yeah its based it the same industrial block, but operates like the airforce to the navy. But they excellent to deal with and more than happy to have a chat over the phone.
GW staff at Warhammer World were exceptional with their level of service (treating you like a person and not a gulible idiot or a walking atm machine) and product knowledge, putting NZ stores to shame, the same goes out to the staff at St Albans, who even offered me transport to their store for the midnight release of Dreadfleet.
