+d3 to cast (fire magic, Hiertotitan , Vc power) are Counted as power dice for the restrictions??

So e.g. High Elf Fire Wizard. With banner of sorc. (gets +2 dice) Then casts a fireball successfully. On the second attempt , He won't add the d3?

Without wanting to pre-empt Phil's call, aren't those things like the Fire attribute, VC power "adding to the casting total"? I would have thought that this was quite different to putting more dice into the pool like the banner of sorcery would.

I've tended to regard that stuff as the same as adding your wizard level.

Am I missing something obvious?

well the wording for TK is "adds +D3 to the casting result of each spell he attempts to cast (roll for the bonus each time)

and fire lore says pritty much the same

they are clearly not PD in any respect. They dont add to miscast, dont count to PD cap, dont add to total power, they are the same as +1/+2 to cast/dispel items just random

some tourneys count all those items types as 1 PD in total (so you can use them as many times as you want but counts as +1 PD for that phase), and others just use them as normal.

Characters are of course allowed. No first come first serve basis.
Take what ya want to the event, even imperial armour stuff, just run the unit you want to use by me first.

Sounds like Mushroom dice to me, adds d6 to the casting total but can't give IF, and if you roll a one potential for bad things to happen...  so you have counted Mushroom dice as PD, therefore these others are as well...

Yeah, we have a FAQ. It's about 4 pages long and covers every WM faction, the rule book and expansions. As to your question, it is answered in both the Hordes and Warmachine rulebooks, on the first page of rules (P27, after the fluff), paragraph 3, line 1, and on the PP website, right above the link to the quick start rules for either game, so no real FAQ needed on that one.

For those of you who think the serious guys of the 50 ppl attending the WFB tournament are paying attention to your ramblings they aren't as they haven't returned a reply as I won't to silly notions.

A. Yes you will, closer to the time of submits.

A. TLoS at equinox with following exceptions, hills are infinitely high but do not hide large targets. Buildings block line of sight including large targets.

Awesome Phil!  No virtual line of sight...tlos with tweaks is so much better and stops really ridiculous deployments from a certain dwarf players artillery...

A. Yes they are.

Any restrictions to items granting +1/+2 etc to cast/dispel such a magic items or mortis engine upgrade?

A. Inherent abilities that confer +1/+2 to caste are not restricted. Area affect boosts such as Blasphemous tomb upgrade on the mortis engine are.

Important to remember: Max of 12 power dice or dispel dice may be used, stored or otherwise rolled by each player in each magic phase.

Hope everyone has been enjoying the long weekends, I know I have.

Get excited everyone Equinox has over 130 players at present and with less than 2 months to go I'm sure you guys are all amped for the start of another tournament year. I know I am and I'll be attending tournaments as much as I possibly can in the next few months. With the Warhammer world and most of every hobby getting exciting new releases for the beginning of the year I highly anticipate all you wargamers bringing out your new models and your opponents all ready to face them down.

We have currently three confirmed Sponsors and the players pack will be sent to you guys in the next two days as I'm still yet to receive a complete set of their logo's. All the drafts of the players packs are available so if you are itching to get them I can forward them to you but I recommend waiting for the official release.

Equinox has a 50 man Warhammer Fantasy tournament this year, sweet!

Warmachine this year see's the biggest tournament held yet with 32 in attendance.

Flames of War see's the introduction of 3rd edition of battlefront's popular game.
