Yes I bombed Bugmans bar at Warhammer World but good, that will teach them to serve warm ale, being British is no excuse for this dark age habit. But on a good note Warhammer world is pretty cool and if you do the pilgrimage to Nottingham, stay there for a couple of days as the train ride is a killer 2.5 hours from London.
Warhammer World has a nice GW / Forge World store and you would like to believe they have everything in stock, but unfortunately they dont. The staff are great and are more than happy for you to look through any Forge World product, so the titan stuff was pretty cool  Shocked  Grin  Grin
The display cabinet room is quite spectacular as you would expect as it is chock full of amazingly painted figures. But do expect gaps, as there were almost no Dwarves on display and the Daemons were bare except for a couple of Plague Bearers riding Plague Toads. I took a ton of picks and still barely made a dent on what was on display. This was mainly due to the fact Im on crutches and with a cast now on my leg, so trying to take pix was the easiest. But I will post these bad boys asap
Had a quick game using the new Ogre Kingdoms and well Im sold, my Empire army may be traded up for these bad boys   Lips sealed
Bugmans Bar and shop, like I said before the beer on tap, sucks big ones, so grab a cold on from the fridge. Bugman gift shop, if you are wanting to buy a beer mug dont be a mug they are RUBBISH for £20 and the leather clad one for £30 is just not worth it. And the bottle open is crap. But the Pint glass is great value along with the shirts and water bottles.
Make a half day or if your insane take army or buy one there and game all weekend.
I wont make Golden Demons this year as the leg is now well and truely poked.

Good on you for making the pilgrimage old bean. Do post some pics. As for some armies not on display, I heard that if it isn't on display, it's because they are working on the new release of that army. Having said that, it is just a rumour and I have no idea on where on the pecking order those two armies are.

Warhammer World will give any gamer lots of ohs and ahs, plus tempt the hell out of you to buy buy buy. As for missing armies, it can mean new models on the way, go Dwarves and obviously Daemons and Ogres being the lastest.
A funny thing those big shaggy Stone beasts the ogres have remind me of bantas out of Star Wars when you see a group of 10+  Grin
The pix will be put up when Im home, internet is expensive as hell in the YHA hostels.

I was just asked the other day if the exclusive Bugman figure is still available at Bugmans. Well I didnt see it and actually forgot to ask.
But yesterday I did one better than Warhammer World, I went to the holy grail that is Hornby HQ. Producers of Airfix, Corgi, Scaletrix and Hornby Trains. Wow what a cool place, had more fun than at Warhammer World. If you ever travel to the UK, pop down to Kent and go to Hornby.

Sometimes. It does mean its been taken out for photography... which could mean new release, battle report or anything else.

Warhammer world is cool... but living near, and working on the building work when it was 'castle-ised' (it used to look like a big warehouse, with the shop downstairs) kind of takes away the 'Wow' factor for me... also all Bugmans merchandise is overproced tat.... like all souvineers.

I agree 100% with you on that one Dave. But only good thing even with the exchange rate working against you buying GW product in the UK is a hell of alot cheap that in NZ.
I bought a couple of Forgeworld bits and finecast odds just because of this. But over all as great as Warhammer World was it still lacked something that Hornby had in many areas.
