ATC Fantasy 2012

Looks like the Australians are going to run an ETC style event in September 2012.

I have been speaking to the organisers re NZ involvement and are currently negotiating to get two spots for us. The Ozzie involvement will be on a state basis so likely six teams

Qld
NSW
ACT
Vic
SA
WA
2x NZ based teams

My proposal to them is one team based on Auckland Province and the other on Wellington Province + South Island.


Effecttively this means one team drawn from Taupo north and the other everything south of Taupo.


Attendence will likely mean a financial commitment of $1000 and the teams will be 8 man teams.


Does somebody who is likely to go want to put themself through to be Organiser/Selector of the Auckland Province team?

I have appointed myself Supreme OverTsar of the Wellington South team which I can assure you will be subject to all sorts of nepotism and cronyism. If anybody is interested in being considered in the southern team then feel free to contact me.
And I look forward to a North/South clash prior to the event.

Seriously though it is at least $1000/person  commitment so think carefully before you look to commit. The Australians will be looking for an even number of teams so it would really disrupt planning to commit then pull out late.

Great to see lots of interest already. Reid isn't able to commit this far ahead of the tourney so we need to get someone else to be the Northern organiser. Hand's up for who wants the job.
