The gaming room under Dave's house basically has no lighting except for a lamp and his little torch.  But hey!!! Turns out that combined with my camera, it makes everything look very dark and moody, just as you would imagine an epic clash between the Dark Angels and the World Eaters

Enjoy. (by the way, check my youtube page for the more detailed, complete photo gallery & commentary version, as per usual)

1: Spearhead Deployment with Seize Ground - 4x Objectives.  One in the centre, one in my zone, one in dave's, and two in one of the adjacent empty zones that we would both be gunning for.  I'm taking my normal list (but with a zhufor packing gear that is more accurately represented by his model, and icons of khorne instead of chaos glory on my CSM).  Dave has mustered up 3x Venerable Dreads, 3 rhinos with all kinds of DA tacs, a vindicator, two speeders, and EZEKIEL riding in a razorback with his veteran boys.  Game on - Dave goes first.

2: Badass shadowy photography:

3: First round of dreadnought shooting pops a rhino, with Guertok Blightbeard's squad spilling out into a nearby crater.  They weren't planning on going anywhere in it anyway, the objective is over yonder and they've got covering fire thanks to the defiler and oblits.

4: The two most contentious objectives are right next to a building (piece of area terrain) that dave loads up full of Dark Angel grunts, while mostly empty rhinos swarm around, causing the forces of chaos to have to wait in traffic.

5: Zhufor ANGRILY rushes from the doors of his immobilized (multimelta hit) land raider, and Ezekiel steps dramatically from the doorway, force sword raised in combat stance.  Your judgement has come!!!!!!!!!!!

Ezekiel (in a later round of combat) drives his crackling force weapon into Zhufors face, but the dark lord brings his power axe down in a blood downward arc, caving the psyker's hood in.  Both die.

6. Vehicles are starting to go bust and it's all on.  The field starts to swarm with power armour.

7. A foolish Dark Angel Rhino driver puts pedal to the metal, and the World Eaters infantry dart left and right to avoid it's tracks.  All except the Aspiring Champion known as CUROSS DAEMONSPIRE.  He pulls an Iron Man on it's ass, delivering a crushing powerfist death or glory punch right on the nose, wrecking it - out spill five silly looking DA tacs.

8. Zordarch, Prince of Shadows flaps to the ground, ending the careers of many a Dark Angel with each swing of his oversized Choppa.  But one of the Venerable Dreads arrives, flicks him for a single wound (1 left after this), and since that particular combat round was the one round that Ezekiel was successful with his psychic hood negation of warptime, the bumbling daemon fluffs attacks, suffers a single 'fearless' armour save, fails it, dies.  Blargghhhhh I'll get you next time Dark Angelsssssssss ssssss

9. I've been playing too many other game systems: Seeing that there was a line of sight blocking, large building in between dave's Dread and my objective-camping CSM squad, I was sitting back all chuffed like.  But this building is really just area terrain, something I constantly forget.... Big bad Dread smashes his way through the ruins and piles into my guys.  He kills a single model, I power fist back for no damage.  I fail the morale test needing a 9.  I also fail to out-run the Dread, everything then dies.  D'oh!!

Crazy awesome photo though, just can't believe it.

10. The Victorious Terminators mop up all dark angels in the nearby terrain and destroy the razorback, but are too late to take out the four remaining marines camping the objective that Zordarch was meant to have taken care of.  If the game ends, Dave will get a point!  My fall-back plan of going for a draw is now not such a sure thing as his Dreadnought took out my safest scoring opportunity.  Uh oh!

11. Two rude land speeders turbo boosted onto the objective I was going for as a back-up.  My land raider still hasn't lost any guns and I managed to blast one of them.  The Zerkers come raging on in but after the combat settles, the best I could do was immobilze it.  We throw a dice to see if the game even gets past the 5th turn but it doesn't.  The Dark Angels snatch victory from the jaws of almost certain defeat!  Well done.

I said on youtube that my zerkers immobilized your speeder, so it was still there contesting the objective... but I must have rolled something else not a 4 - if you immobilize a skimmer after it moved flat out, it's destroyed, right?

Let Ezekiel and Zhufor's epic lifetrade be forever symbolic of this draw.

Heh, some truly atmospheric shots there, you must come out of Dave's basement blinking and unaware of the time.
