Rules Queries and TO Rulings
Should there be a discussion about the interpretation of a rule, the players involved should attempt to work it out themselves using relevant rule and army books. Should this fail, the TO can be asked to make a decision. There is no guarantee this decision will be correct, but it will be final.
Many times, a critical moment in a game comes down to mere millimeters. If such a situation arises, players may chose to either roll a dice to determine the outcome, or ask the TO for a ruling.
Terrain and Line of SightPlayers are encouraged to discuss the terrain on their table before each game. Forests and rivers are mysterious terrain, other terrain pieces will be noted if they are other than normal. Hills of any height block line of sight to all models except those with the 'large target' special rule, and buildings block line of sight to all models. Forests, fences, rocky outcrops and all other terrain follow the 'true line of sight' rules. When determining line of sight between models, ignore all unit fillers, banners and the like.
PaintingWhile beautiful armies are encouraged, there is no requirement for painted miniatures at the Rumble.

SPORTSMANSHIP AND TOURNAMENT ETIQUETTEAll players are expected to act with maturity and respect towards their fellow gamers. As such there will be no direct sportsmanship score. Below is outlined what will be considered standard tournament etiquette. If for some reason a player feels his opponent did not play in adherence with these, you may approach the TO and discuss with him after the game. If the certain behavior is deemed worthy, the player will be penalised 1 tournament point.
Etiquette
• Play in a timely fashion. Of course some armies require more time per turn than another, but it is expected that nothing that could be considered time-wasting takes place.
• Use the correct turn sequence. You opponent is within his rights to deny any go-backs if you've forgotten something, e.g. to shoot with a unit when now in the magic phase.
• Cocked dice. If a dice is in anyway obstructed from lying flat on the table, it should be rerolled.
• Accurate measuring. Ensure that all moving, charging, wheeling, etc doesn't extend beyond the unit's movement capabilities. It is good practice to leave the tape measure down on the table while moving the unit too.
• Call it before you roll it. Before you roll ANY dice, be sure your opponent knows what is being rolled for. In such a case as rolling two units break tests, and no declaration is made, your opponent is within his rights to make you reroll the dice.
Thanks, I look forward to seeing you all there!
PS: "We are asking all players to please forward their email address to the TO. This will be added to the NZ Wargamers database." Please let me know if you do not want your name and email address to be forwarded to the people making up the NZ Wargamers database, if you do not let me know I will pass all names and emails on.
CARAVAN
