New NZ GAMERS contact database

Just to let everyone know we are building up a contact email database of all NZ gamers.

Who's we? 
Rob Shirley, Dave Foster and Derick Williams, we're the ones who gather the tornament data for submission to Rankings HQ.

The concept is to build up a contact database for use only within the gaming arena.
For example: A T.O. needs a player pack sent out, they will be able to spam mail appropriate players.

Over the next few months as you go to tournaments, just provide your email address to the TO. Then as we gather the data for Rankings HQ, we can also collect data for the NZ database as well.

Just want to thank all of the City Guard gamers that have responded to this.

The National NZ Gamers database is up and running.

There are hundreds of contacts on it from all gaming systems in the south Island, Wellington, Tuaranga and Hamilton.

The list for City Guard is unfortunately sadly lacking.
If you have not sent me an email about this, then its not on the list.
Please give me the information is the following format:
 Name: John Smith
 Alias: Headache
 Games: Fantasy, 40K, Warmachine, Ancients

Numbers are getting better.

Rankings HQ have 270 players listed (I expect there's a few duplicates) our database looks a bit sad in comparison.

If any of you know a Group or Club check with your members and see if they have sent me an email.
They probably haven't, so if you could round up those email addresses from your club members, it would be great to fill out the numbers.

I have pretty good lists of both Fantasy and 40k gamers in NZ and more than happy to share them. However I'm not sure on the legality of that.

What I can do is send out a general email to all contacts, indicate I have had a request for details and offer an opt out. Would that cover me from legal/etiquitte pov?

I'll be sending out an email to all players on the list that I have.
This will give people an opportunity to opt out. Silence will mean they opt in
When I send this email out, I will ask players to send it on to others who may not have submitted their email to the list.

Have a huge database of players as well.
Legally we have to ask them for permission before adding them to any database.
I'm sure you are in midst of that mate, lmk if you need anything.
