From Tabletop Gaming News. Looks to be some very promising changes (the rules, I mean, not the other thing).

Any wagers on when we might see 6th ed released?

I hate everything apart from the new flyer rules, cover types, choosing who to wound with sniper weapons, artillery and the save part (I've always thought it logical to take a invulnerable save first and then shields, sort of like 2 layers). What does it mean by no more random movements? I also don't see how the wound allocation thing makes it more streamline.

None of that looks so bad.  It'll still be a GW tabletop game at the end of the day though, so don't expect miracles.  A lot of people thought 8th edition fantasy was like the holy grail solution for the system when it came out, it isn't though.

I won't mind those changes, I'm not particularly attached to the current rule set.

I see persuits are mentioned in the consolidation phase, could this mean sweeping advance is gone? I hope so. Still take this whole thing with a ton of salt.

Sounds good to me, I might actually get my Nids made up and painted before 6th comes out.  Cheesy

though they better not clip vehicles in the heals too much - though mech is the soup du jour, i don't want vehicles to get shot down too easily

I thought vehicles might be getting a little boost (well it said smoke only gives 5+) But moving vehicles actually got a modifier on the shooting to hit, to make them a little harder to shoot representing a moving vehicle.

I'm still getting a salty taste from some of that info, but I think parts of it aren't too far fetched.

Screw it! I love these new rules. There going to do wonders for my guard army (bring out the luftwaffe). But the biggest reason I love them is that they are so much more advanced and combat situations actually make sense. It is a long article but it covers pretty much all the rules. Just read about how if a unit flees off or scatters off the table edge it doesn't count as being destroyed, just removed from play (you can voluntarily do this e.g you have 1 model left in a unit and you want to deny your opponent the kill point) or units falling back can embark vehicles and count as auto-rallying.

Only negative I have about these new rules is that each codex will probably require at least 5 pages of Errata.
