Hi all,
Mike (Vent) and I had a test game of Colonial Battlefleet last night, a reasonably new starship combat system I've been getting into. For those who know nothing about it, it's a generic system which you can design ships for from any setting. There is an expansion based on Battlestar Galactica, which is what we were playing with. Here are some shots of the game in action...

The Battlestar Pegasus in all her glory

The slightly antiquated but oh-so charming Battlestar Galactica

Cylon Basestars moving into attack position

Both fleets advance with some trepidation

Colonials win the first fighter engagements convincingly. Choosing your targets is vital!

The endgame. A captured Galactica limps off the board leaving Pegasus to combat swarms of Raiders all alone.
It was a lot of fun and I'm definitely looking forward to the next game. The evil Cylons won this game after boarding Galactica and slaughtering her crew, leaving the Pegasus fighting an uphill battle. If anyone's interested in finding out more about the game, let me know. The beauty of the system is it doesn't matter what kind of ships you have, be they Star Wars, Star Trek, B5, Battlefleet Gothic or anything else, you can fit them into this game.
Next time, you frakkin' toasters!
