and all i can say is wait for it to come out on dvd. im gutted i paid good bux to go see it.

the first 45mins was good... and then it was crap.

still worth a watch of course and the giant samurai and zombie germans in the trenches were cool. but not worth going to the flix for i feel.

my highlight was the girl who played amber as she was seriously hot in a battlesuit blowing the crap out of everything.

oh well.

I'd still recommend seeing it at the movies, it was visually impressive from start to end, and no I'm not talking about the skimpy costumes Tongue

I agree the pacing was a little whack throughout the movie itself, but I still liked the idea, and how fantasy and reality become hard to define.

I just saw Number 4, so keen to see this. Movie critics are stuffy pretentious stuck ups and when ever they say a movie is below par it always is good. Sucker punch got punched in the nads for reviews, I'm expecting it to be great. Damo just doesn't like it cos he works at a sucker punch movie (school teacher Wink).

Giant Samuria with Chainguns. Pretty much the reason i came to see the movie was satisfied so i was happy, but year not worth going to the cinemas and talk about just confusing you for the sake of confusing.

I think that was kinda the point, you weren't supposed to be able to clearly tell the difference between the characters fantasy worlds and the real world.

after watching it and having a few days to mull it over im still gutted i spent my bux to go see it. even if they had twice the cgi special effects it wouldnt have saved a crap story. sorry. trying to run 2 to 3 storylines at once underneath the overall story. didnt work.

the train scene at the end felt like the director was saying- hey the movie is about to end. lets throw this scene in...

like i said, i loved the zombie german trench warfare and the giant samurai. it just wasnt enough to save the movie for me.

Ohhh yeah I don't disagree there, if you want to see a movie with a good story and great characters, you will find this movie completely devoid.

If you want visual excess and extreme, then go watch it on the big screen. It probably helps I've been working like a slave lately, the more mentally exhaused I am, the more I enjoy big budget, effects first over story and character, hollywood movies Smiley

I'm going to watch it at the movies. I like Zack Snyder, and it's got a cool storyline with giant samurai, zombies and dragons! I also like the occasional movie that you have to think about and work the story out even after it's done (Mulholland Drive is a good example, LOST is a terrible example).

Check out the trailer, I'm guessing it'll be fairly mediocre. In saying that, I attend the cinema's every other week, so I'll likely end up seeing it on the big screen anyway Cheesy

I think $30 bucks for a couple hours entertainment is decent (I pay for the tickets, the misses pays for the snacks).

I know your not poor either Tongue Just too much competition for our expendable cash these days, hard to justify it on certain things if we don't perceive value for money.

I've avoided this for 3 years so far, one of us literally earns twice as much as the other Tongue

In all fairness I pay the larger share of utilities and rent to compensate, but I'm sure I have jewish blood in me somewhere Cheesy
