Looking good so far, if you could work some blending into your highlights it'd be the business.

Looks good, glad to see some of your other models than your space marines all the time.

the white on the guardians look nice and tidy. The gems probably need a little bit more work though.. maybe try to highlight them with orange and add a small white dot afterward.

the bases look nice, are they dragonforge bases?

Blending i cant do tried i fail at it, this a about the best i am going to get, Gems do need some work but with the amount i need to paint i might not change them. I might go over them once the army is done.

I have a hit a peek with my painting now and i dont seam to be improving. new stuff will just take time all i can see on my work is it is getting cleaner and good tones.

Also this is my style of painting its very pop and in ya face but i have always heard good stuff and no many bad so i dont think i am doing to wrong. I am just very old school its all about blending and so on these days, i just paint the way i was tough mostly By Regan but my highlight are still to wide he would say.

Yes always dragonforge for me.

if you can work with making those highlights slimmer that would help, if you feel you've peaked with your abilities.  maybe working with two shades of colour for the highlights will give a more graded and blended look.  also, watering down the paint and building it up will also do the same thing

sometimes i do two shades for highlight i did on my nids and i think my crimson fists. I did not even highlight my Blood angels, I have started to try and water my paints and do mixes i have the correct hardware now to measure out % of paint and so on.

Looking at the pic of the tank the highlights look huge but they are not that bad. and the highlights on the guardians are very small.

Still a big man painting little models. I like my work on these i think its some of my best.

I need someone to come over to my place with a good camera and setup and take pics of all my armys so i can post some real pics the amount of time people say there 10 times better in person when people like vent and that can take some badass good pics.

camera flash does tend to make things contrast a lot more, i battle with that myself.  i try to only take pictures outside during a bright day so i can take a photo in the shade and there's still enough light so the flash doesn't go off; still very random though, it's best to have a proper lighting box so you can have consistent results;

cbf with that though

well not necessarily - it helps, but if the lighting conditions are right any camera will do.

some of the better pics i've taken were with a shoddy fuji finepix camera, whereas now i'm using my mate's canon 300D - i can't be fussed to figure out how to set it up so it produces a similar result to what was the standard for the fuji *oh well*

Its all really nice. But i agree with you when u say that u seem to have peaked with your painting. To improve you would definatly need to start blending stuff if you find blending hard try out the Zenathil Highlighting technique you do need an airbrush but its one of the easiest blending to do and looks really good. Just my 2 cents

Small update guys had little time to get much done.

I managed to find some time to get some more paint today so i started fixing up my Gems on my serpent with a bit of blending. I think it has improved alot over what i had before, first time trying i am sure they will be better after about 1000 of them to paint.

And one war walker down. And serpent on his base. So as of yet i have one complete serpent and just need to do my gems on my one guardian unit and they will be done, also need to do gems on walker.

Ohh and sorry about the quality of pics i wanted to do a rush update.

Probably better knowing my luck  Grin

Will get some better pics up this weekend if i can get away from the wife for a while, she is being a real pain at the moment. She is about to pop so she is being a real bitch.

Got all the gems done on the walker serpent and guardians now. This blend could be better but it still looks better than before. So dont expect masterclass gems.

Yeah, give him a couple of weapons and you can use him as a phantom titan.

Nice paint work on the Eldar Laz, although I think the gems could do with a bit more work, maybe another highlight. Perhaps it's the camera, but they sort of hold the model back somewhat. Other than that, they look pretty sweet.

Just starting at blending so might get better as i get though them, i might just go over these again when i get to the end if i get any better at it. I did alot of blending on the Warlock not sure if u can tell or if it is noticeable but i will get there.

They look good together, i normally get told my stuff is way better in person than my pics so lets hope that is the case.
