*Thank you for all the people who helped by bringing along some extra terrain and sponsoring tables.
** Also many thanks to Neckface for the graphic design and many more who helped with the tournament.

Really competitive and good natured tournament and it looked like everyone had a great time.
The podium finishes wasn't decided until the final round and there were some very tough fought battles going on amongst the leaders.
Great to see that everyone came to compete and players were willing to battle for the winning margin even till the last game.

Thank you to everyone who attended this year and I hope you know that we wouldn't of had such a large and successful tournament without your support.
It would be my pleasure to organise the tournament again next year and also to invite you and all your friends along to the party.
Thank you for supporting Equinox 2011 and lets make it bigger and better next year  Smiley

A huge thank you to all the people who made my job organising the event a lot easier. The TO for the Warhammer 40K event, Nikola who showed that even for his first tournament he was cool under pressure and swift with justice stomping umpire rulings. Steve who took up the challenge to run the Flames of War event and came away with a very successful tournament. For all those who wondered why your results were so quick and accurate and the cupcakes so plentiful and sweet it was Amy and I'm sure everyone is pleased and happy that she entered the results and not me. Last but not least by far a massive thank you to Karen and the team that ran the kitchen and with out her we would have been very hungry.

Thanks Phil, for another fantastic event. Once again loved every minute of it. All my opponents were great. And walking away with a big-ass raffle prize helps too  Grin

@Big D

Good on you for playing the Dwarven mountain and also scooping up the Raffle prize. Looking forward to seeing it converted to an epic Dwarven watch tower mate.

@Antony

We all know that you are Mr Gouda but I'm guessing raffles are random so no need for any practice games to get better. There will be plenty of raffles further down the track I'm sure.

@Basil

A big shout out to all the Competitors who made the trip to support the Tournament and my appreciation. I am really glad that you guys had a good time and the Christchurch and Wellington boys for taking home the Trophies. It just means that we will be heading down there to do likewise for the Trophies down there for Auckland (optimist aren't I Smiley ). I hope that even more of your club members can make the trip for next years tournament.

Saturday Night Teams Event Results:

We had a mini Teams event Saturday night and we hosted 4 teams of 4 this year.
The event featured good keen warhammer talent and we had a great time after gorging on some life giving Hells pizza Smiley

1st Team Extraordinary Nerdymen -  Thom V (c), Henry, Paul C and Graeme Fry.

2nd Team South                        - Phil Wu, Basil, Mal (all chch boys) and Simon.

3rd Tream TronHammer              - Tim Lind (c), Dan, James, and Jordan.

4th Team Guard                        - Josh (c), Noel, Russ and Glenn.

The Trophy will be up for grabs next year as well so plan your team with your club and mates.

I picked up Witchfate Tor, Tower of Sorcery.  Once I dispense with the human magicy guff all over it, and strengthen it to Dwarven building codes, add a couple of cannons and a gyrocoptor pad on the roof, I will have a Watch Tower worthy of protecting my Dwarven brewery
