i wanted my Nobz to have twin linked guns to greatly improve there shooting. BUT its only there old models that come with twin linked guns. I have two of these i then converted the AOBR nobz to have twin linked guns using left over shooters from an old boyz kit i had. the middle guy in this photo is the last one i did today (its a meganobz iron jaw) he has yet to be painted i also replaced there heads from the nob kit because the AOBR minis have bad sculpts. and last but not least i have two kombi rockit Nobz cause ya gotta have rokkits, these are from the nob kit

I have also finished another unit of trucker boyz, i have trucks ordered and on the way....... i hope ` and here is my latest attempts at using greenstuff, i decided to have a go at making my own painboy. the body and head is AOBR nob, his arm from the nob kit and his backpack is full of bits from lots of orky kits for his dok tools. but his urty syringe is made up from an original ork shoota circa 1992 (i think.... its an old model anyway) i stuck an old needle in the end for the URTY bit .....so my army comes with a safety warning

I'm getting a little worried I'm painting the rate of 3 to 5 figures about every week and there is heaps to do before march. Much of whats left is converting vehicles and some zzap gun artillery ,but that takes me a lot of time to figure out what works and cutting plastic etc. but i have this weekend started undercoating 20 ard boys , and have some burna boys and komandos to convert / put together and paint.......al l with in the next 8 to 10 weeks last weekend i made another explosion and attempted some craters (i would like to make one set of each for all my vehicles ) these are relatively easy to make something that can be made well paint layers dry on other things. here is one in use during my game against Issac last weekend. here are craters in progress and i finished my last 12 trucker boys and my trucks turned up this weekend, but not my rhinos. but have package to pick up from post office......ho pe its them.

happy holidays everyone not much time for toy soldiers this last couple of weeks but my boy has gone camping and the hangover wore off about lunchtime on sunday so its.........ho bby time i was painting my Ard boyz (pics to come once i get them half finished) but needed to paint something different. so here's my painboy, base needs some work i know but happy how he turned out. went for hospital green smock look (to much Scrubs watching) also tried the wet blood look by drybrushing/stippling blood red and blue wash mix for dried blood stains and straight blood red with a coat of varnish for wet.

have had a hard week my boy broke his arm on thursday night so not much painting done. but thought i will show you some of the ard boyz what i'm going to do to make them seem different is to keep to a mainly metal look for the armour with flecks of chipped paint. I am also keen to do a few Boyz with space marine pads, and any other shoulder pads i can get my hands on. my son thinks the red padded ork looks like santa

hello spent today chopping and sanding and grinding...... on plastic that is have finished 3 LOOTED Zzap guns (except for clean up and paint ) used truck bits, and two 2nd hand buggy kits (ugly old things) and one Eldar support weapon. I brought two Eldar kits, but had no idea there where 3 gun options in them, so i have only used one box. i was only going to use two zzap guns in my list, but decided to make the 3 to give me some options just in case. one of them is so like a Tonka truck, its properly the one i won't use

have finished the interior of my 2nd looted Rihno/Truck filled in the cockpit with plastic pipe and guitar string. just to make it feel less empty and more like a......cockpit (do you even call it a cockpit in a tank ) There is some truck parts in there as well and i tried some lighting effects which i'm happy with. my grot is the ammo runt from the Nob kit and fills in my WYSIWYG slot for grot riggas as well as add some cool action. more photos soon.....(well as soon as i get some more hobby done )

ok spent last weekend (long weekend) eating and drinking.....w hen i prob should have been painting but got some stuff finished. first off looted rhino/truck # 2......the one with the ruddy great hole cut in the front i wanted this one to look like the boyz had had it a while and fixed it up a few times,so lots of rust and it in need of a new blue paint job. decided to try the sponge painting technique..... ..and it rocks (esp if you are trying to make it look aged or damaged) it was quick and very easy. first off painted a tinbitz base coat over black primer then a heavy baddab black wash over everything then sponged boltgun metal everywhere a light wash of devlen mud then a sponge of mordien blue, only in the areas where i thought paint should go. i then touched these bits up with a brush to fill out some areas. then a heavy Azamere blue wash on these blue areas the rust was only in the areas where water would fall.....besti al brown dabbed and lightly highlighted blazing orange. then details..... checks, yellow glyphs (to break up the blue) and a light blue edging to the chipped paint....plus a silver to most edges and chips that i had carved out on the model. finished with another dev mud wash but only on the lower half of the rhino then with an old brush dabbed/dry brushed/stippled vomit brown for dust and dirt effects over everything.

and i also finished my first Zzap gun......my first attempts at jewels (so damn fiddly...threw a couple of wobblys during painting them ) finished them with a varnish, allthough you can't see that in the photos....(sorry lighting is BAAAAAD) happy with my eldar head on a spike, cut the end off a drawing pin which made a nice cup...to catch the mess.

Another Zzap gun finished, getting faster.....or more sloppy. Rushed this out, started last night and just finished. decided to keep a bit of the bel-tain colour , just to break up all the blue. Not sure if it worked but will keep this theme for the Tonka truck Zzap gun.

sweet - not at all sloppy, they're orks after all. but they're hella cool gun platforms, i'd almost venture that perhaps you and Laz's eldar should form some sort of grudge? your orks seem to keep nicking their guns after all

Soooo this weekend is battlecry (and good luck to all club members playing....may the dice be with you). and this was also my goal for this army to be finished by now. That has not happened and i am aiming for Equinox, but i was going to go over to town today and have a nosey. but then i realised how much i still have to do, so the goal for this weekend is to get my ard boyz finished (12 left to do) and at least get started on the last converted rhino/truck. so well i'm on a break from painting(and beer drinking) heres what i finished this morning. when i made this Zzap gun all i could think of was "Tonka monster truck", and i was not a fan. but as i started painting it i changed my mind and now think its awesome. Tried to make it look like it was about to over heat and blow up.Really happy with the jewels my best effort yet.

have been busy painting and will post some pics soon BUT just a quick question is there any sort of restrictions on a display board......i have this long peice of ply very thin about a metre long. I thought i might turn it into some sort of road (with puddles ) as if my boyz are on the march to war.... what do you think?, it will also be alot easier to carry from waiheke .

ok no comments on the display board so i'm going to go with the road idea had to go up north for a wedding for a whole weekend so that put a dent in my progress. but in the last 3 weeks i have got my ard boyz finished. and i took over a week and a half to paint some looters and meks, went for a glowing green Necron theme

Yesterday spent the day making and painting my third Rhino/truck.......tried to make it look like it has just been stolen. No glyphs, new blue paint......no time to finish before going into battle have not finished the gunner yet, painted it yellow because it ties in with the glyphs, but also thinking of re-doing my marines as imperial fists if you look closely there is an axe and a knife stuck in the computer console and the drivers door. OH and i tried to make the damage look like they were hit by Zzap gunz
