Update on umpires and our lack of space problems have disappeared.

Website  http://hamiltonimmortals.wikispaces.com/ NOTE:old site still exists

Genre on offer:
40K                              haydn.korach@xtra.co.nz                                              Haydn
Fantasy                        chapai@xtra.co.nz                                                             Carl
FoW MW 1500pts     pgporter@gmail.com                                                          Phil
Warmachine              sah474@xtra.co.nz                                                            Scott
Napoleonics              russell.warner@opus.co.nz                                              Russell
DBMM25                 allenyaxley@yahoo.com.au                                               Allen
Death Squad (hybrid 40K and Mordheim)   alan.mcissac@gmail.com              Alan

Now the space problems are gone, we are looking for other genre who can supply an umpire (including playing umpires) and can have the requisite number of entries.

Genre playing four or fewer matches need at least eight registrations by Early Bird close
Genre playing five of more matches need at least ten registrations by Early Bird close

Rob

Our venue is still Fraser High School, but no longer the school hall, we now have 2 of the three gymnasiums.  For those who have played at Over the top or Rallypoint in the last two years, the smaller gym is about the size of the school hall, and the big gym is about twice as large.

Alan McIssac, has just told me taht he cannot get the rules authors of Death Squad to sort out permission in time so he pulled it out of being offered at NICon.

Early Bird entries close on 29 April, then the cost of entering goes up.

40K, Warmachine, DBMM25 are all over the minimum limit already.  40K at 19, waarmachine at 13 and DBMM 8; with Fantasy and FoW naffing around below the minimum 8 at present.  There is also an unknown genre entrant called Matthew Lenton, any ideas on him please contact Dory Fisher at dcfisher at orcon dot net dot nz.

I'm pleased with the numbers, they are well up on what had entered a fortnight out from the NatCon early bird fee closure of two years ago.

Rob

120 + entries so far.
All of 40K, Fantasy, Warmachine, Fow (MW) and DBMM25 are confirmed as going ahead.
Napoleonics is less than the required number to be a competition.

I so love the fact that I don't know and/or have never played 3/4 of the Fantasy field.

Fantasy
Carl Templeton
Daryl Painter
Daniel Butler
Robert Sadler
Reid Pittams
Paul Davison

Seriously, those are the people I've played in that list. I don't remember ever playing Bobby (super stoked if I get to at NiCon). Paul and Reid are regular opponents, Daryl I've played only twice at Auckland events, and I think I've played Rob once. Definitely only played Dan and Carl once.

More of a reason to look forward to this event!

Awesome warmachine turnout, if there were a lot of warmachine events with that number of attendees in auckland, i'd be more interested in getting involved.

Yeah, playing Bobby is a reason in itself to attend, never played a nicer guy in my life. Well that's cool, hope a few more flesh out the Fantasy field, and looking forward to it regardless.

NICon numbers.

40K has made the magic 50
Fantasy 20
Warmachine and FoW mid 20s
DBMM25 mid teens
Napoleonics is being held.

We will all be in the big gym at Fraser High School, Ellicott Road, Hamilton. Turn left at the bottom of the driveway that goes down the slope from Ellicott Road.

Setting up from 1730 to 2000 on Friday night.
0700 opening Saturday
0800 opening Sunday
Decision on where NICon 2012 will be made by a competitors vote at 0830 vote on Sunday.

Each table will be 8x4, individually sited so you can walk round the individual tables.  Playing areas are as defined by each genre.  Exception:  DBMM25 will be played on 8x6 tables.  ie. 2 x 6x4s.

Rob
