UK GW Ridiculous shipping cost

That's actually a good question Menolly, I imagine you'd need to pose that to the area or even NZ GW manager or someone around that level of the food chain, I'm not sure if the local stores would get much interaction with that side of things, could always try e-mail one of the store managers to see what they say? I was kinda surprised to hear this battlecry has GW sponsorship.

I'm still with Lazarus myself, If I can buy a battle force from Maelstrom games at $95 to my door vs $195, I just cannot justify the latter without some serious incentive. I'm still happy to support NZ based events with my entrance fee's

I actually popped into GW St.Lukes and overheard the manager talking to someone about battlecry, so it's really nice to have the sponsorship, I still grab the things I need urgently from the shop directly.

i would almost feel bad if that was the case. nah ... F#$% em. id rather spend my hard owned $$$$ through maelstrom and get my gw fix at almost spot on half nz retail.

...and when i run grumpy daemon i get my prize support from battlefront(GF9, vallejo paints, brushes and 28mm terrain bitz), and Lee (bags and stuff), so i do support local dudes... id rather stick a needle in my eye than ask gw for prizes though for anything i do.



still a pity on the direct sale stuff though... id love to spend at gw st lukes but i already have one mortgage... i dont need another

GW supports events by offering a pile of vouchers for a small price. The bigger the event and numbers, the bigger the pile of vouchers is. We still pay something for them, but since most events usually have to spend some of their money for prizes this works for us. And the vouchers can be used on-line and people get a choice of what they get.

We also get support through Gale Force Nine, and Lee and other NZ companies... but this way we also get free advertising through White Dwarf and they are looking into how they can support our Learn to Play activities at BattleCry too... every bit helps.
