Ha ha ha, good call there. This is however a 1st round challenge if I ever heard one. Nice for you that you have can wriggle away into the protective arms of Nikola, and claim that you have a prior engagement.

Q. When in a round of combat does the a Wardancer unit required to select their dance?

A. At any point in the combat phase before they attack. The player whose turn is taking place chooses when exactly this takes place.

If it was my unit attacking them, I'd say after they roll their armour and ward saves.

No ward, different number of attacks, different WS. So for one thing, the Treeman is the odds on favourite to beat the Steg to death in close combat. Treeman has a better and more obnoxious shooting attack, too.

Also, rest of list. Lizardmen do short range shooting, Wood Elves do long. This gives the WE player more opportunity to eliminate threats to the Treeman before the threat can actually get to the Treeman.

Oh, and Steg has a larger footprint, which makes it a bit easier to kill with a) templates and b) flank charges.

Give the man a break. He just ran his first tourney and probably felt fairly abused from trolls and what not. I understand if you play with woodies too long you need to vent or it'll drive you crazy sooner than later

Seriously considered it It meets the 'hard caps' because the Treeman Ancient is no longer a rare choice, but it turns out that you can still get vetoed even if you meet the caps. OTOH that's a good thing, as it saved me from being 'that guy'

A Treeman Ancient with +3S and +3A and extra toughness (just for giggles), yes, I am shaking. My list is so soft compared to most of these.

As long as my first day tallies better than 16 points like I did at Equinox, I'll be doing ok.

Also, there is a mistake in my list. There should be only 35 zombies with FC. FC command is 12 points for zombies, not 8. My most abject apologies to those who thought that unit was broken.

Q. If I want to dispell a remains in play spell and a player wishes to cast a spell in the same phase (ie: Throne of vines) who would go first?

A. I will go with precedent with current faq's so that the Person whose turn it is decides.

Bugger, there goes my only viable answer to 6 dice dwellers. Now they get to have their cake and eat it too.

It makes sense to follow the precedence set in the official FAQ, or at least it would if it wasn't complete bollocks. I'm afraid the 'owning player chooses' opens up a lot of scope for abuse (see - 'When do I choose the wardance my wardancers are using' 'oh, after you opponent has attacked if you like...', or how about 'after you've made your attacks')

I would plead with you to reconsider that answer, and instead say 'remains in play spells can be dispelled at any point in the magic phase, either before or after your opponent has cast a spell'. (or something)

p.s to all the haters out there, my lvl4 has specified lore of beasts (raawr!) just so I never have the option of even choosing to cast dwellers. My moral stand for the week

Does the 'War Dance' from the previous round carry over until just before the beginning of a new round of combat, or does it cease to have any effect as soon as the round of combat is over? (not that WE aren't fromage enough already)

2 Questions:

A) Can Dragon armour be taken by multiple heroes?

2) What does a Casket of Souls do? Do I have to be in its front arc to be targeted?

a) yes, it's common armour (if you like skirts and rainbows).

b) Bound 6D6 power level, every unit that can draw line of sight to the casket rolls 2D6+2, minus unmodified Ld and suffers that many wounds, no saves. Great for nuking warmachines, but can be dispelled. Always the last thing to cast in the magic phase. I believe it now affects units in combat too.
