Just introduceing myself

Hey guys! Awesome to finally find a hobby group, and one so big at that!
My names Quinton and i have come in to have a look twice so far and have met nothing but really nice people willing to part with hehe tactics, tips, oh and painting tips. It was really cool seeing everyones armies last Sunday (before this one).
Just seeing them made me wanan really get involved and sculpt, paint and battle with yahs=D
I am curruntly collecting Empire in Fantasy. Only have 1 captain of the empire (a little midified....lo
ve green stuff). 20 Spearmen and 5 Pistoliers. Aiming for a 500 point army to start with.
Been playing with what guys i have a some cardboard squares at home to reprosent my guys **SHAME**
My Gf also is getting into the hobby and we both wish to join City Guard. She is collecting a High Elf army and weve had 2 battles so far.
So yeah just saying hi and what you guys think of for a 500 point empire army of. 20 spearmen, captain of the empire joined with spearmem. 20 Bowmen cause i like there skirmish rule and move and shoot. And 10 Handgunners split to make 2 detachments of 5 on each side of the Spearmen.
My hero is equiped with Hammer of Judgement (since her elves have 1 less toughness than me) also made it a great weapon. Kinda wish i didnt make great weapon cause i really want to buff my spearmen up as poss with an extra war banner. But yeah that what i used last against her.
Wanting to try canon hehe and pistoliers. Anyway please comment on my 500 point army list and help me make some changinges. (also need a anti Lizardmen army worth 500 points).

There's an introduce yourself thread already and I moved your topic here to the general discussion anyway. Good to meet you last weekend, I would have been the guy with the tomb kings and the black deathmetal hoodie (luke). Keep collecting your guys, it won't matter too much what models you have or want at this early stage, just make sure you stay focused on what you think is the coolest, and keep up that motivation!
