A small 1200pt Empire force I completed earlier this year for a doubles competition (allied with Uncle Al's McStuntie dwarf clan) - based on the idea of a small engineering school developing experimental weapons. I added the Hochland reference because I like the red and green colour scheme and long rifles, plus I have some foot troops painted up in that colour scheme which I might tranfer to the cobblestone basing.

The painting is pretty basic - base colours and then mud wash, followed by a limited amount of 'tidy up" highlighting.

Got a few giggles anyway  Tongue

Warrior Priests Dougal & Ted

Two Outriders Squads

The Pistol Boys

The Cycle Knights

Pedal Lancers

HA!

Both the concept and the painting are brilliant! They must have been exceptionally fiddly to get right! How long did the whole 1200 points take you?

I can't quite remember  Huh

Worked on it on and off over a few months.

Thanks for the comment on the painting but that Devlan Mud wash hides a lot of sins.

The cyclists are all from Eureka miniatures 'Pax Limpo' range - a sort of colonial clockwork/steam punk work.

I also have some of their clockwork battle suits as Inferno Golems in my Indy GT Chaos Dwarfs
