Just sent mine in now. Are you going to do a race break down when they are all in?

Oh I don't know.
Luke's and Thomas's names look pretty big to me. 15 and 16 letters each.
Mine's only 14! Grin

Different events suit different people. This looks to be a fairly heavy competitive event.

Have another look.  I'd say a Zombie Dragon provides something of a substantial difference?

Must say I'm rather surprised.  Expecting to be un-surprised by comp marking though

Yeah, it seems that nearly every list that can take a dragon, has. I'm feeling positively soft and squishy, despite my twin terror causers.

I know why, Antony linked VC3 to vampire list 2 on page 1... you actually have to click the VC3 tab at the bottom to view VC3 list.

Is there a soft army in the lot? Maybe the beast player because hes taking beasts.

I've marked:

1 Soft
6 On Target
15 Hard
8 Very Hard

In a couple of days I'll mark them again and then make a comparison of my marks to make a final decision prior to submitting them.

This gives me a chance to make a "gut" comparison, and also a chance to look a bit more closely at combo's/items I'm not familiar with.

And tiered comp fails again.

My preliminary results:
0 Soft (couldn't vote for my own army  Kiss)
8 On Target
12 Hard
9 Very Hard

So most people brought a gun to a gun fight and correctly read the system and vibe of the event.

Sounds like a success to me.

EDIT - some thoughts...

- love the list format and the Excel doc in general. Great work from the TO

- lots of Dragon love but not overly surprised by this

- softer Daemon list than I would have expected Philfy (still nasty but...)

- those VC lists are all kinds of awesome. Love the double Wight King list (want to try that myself at some point). And what about that classic Ghoul-rush list? Someone let their imagination run riot there Wink

- lol at the asterisk next to "Moon Dragon" Grin "Please note this is NOT a Star Dragon"

- looking at these even in the rumoured context of 8th edition is absolutely hilarious. 25% minimum Core... ha. Looks very much like a "quick! 7th edition is about to end, let's go nuts" mindset. I hope games stay at 2250pts. We're going to see a lot less in the way of 700pt Lord choices wandering around the pitch... and maybe a lot more than 3 units of Slannesh-marked Marauder Cav in Core Cheesy

- disappointed the document wouldn't let me mark my list as Incredibly Soft.

Looking forward to the event!

Just on behalf of myself and the three (three!?!) other CDorf players... remember, Death Rockets suck. >.>

(S3 hits, armour piercing) Wink

Also, everyone with a dragon is getting the lowest score I can give them. :p

I think this thread illustrates why I am not competing.

Have fun folks, may the best powergamer win  :-)
