Alrighty, a finished Space Hulk Terminator; Brother Leon.

There's a slight powdery finish to the miniature because of a bad undercoat, but you cannot win them all... Still quite happy with the miniature; I've had some trouble with gems before and these were no exception, but I did get a few to pop quite well...

well the extent of my painting advice, as limited as my expertise is, is that to make the gems pop more it'd maybe be a simple matter of creating harsher contrast on them, maybe something as simple as harder light reflections.

but i'll stop myself there - he's looking gorgeous dude

Thanks man. I think you're right, the starting color isn't deep enough. I might have to mix some purple with a touch of black to darken it up. Cheers for taking the time to comment Smiley

dave you army is good i think some of them are better painted than my nids, only thing i saw with steve's is that the white was not smooth and looked to thick. but they do look good.

As for the termy it looks good nice clean lines tidy detail, doing well there space hulk guys are not easy to paint that why i still have not looked at them yet.

Only cos you are a lazy asss - I've seen some nice bits n pieces from you over the years as well young fella.

There's a slight powdery finish to the miniature because of a bad undercoat,

Nice work - I actually think the slight powdery finish in this case adds to the model, gives it a more gritty "real" look.

In that case it was fully intentional ^_^

a matt varnish will smoth it out like my alien model but not a gloss, that alien model is as smooth as a baby butt with the amount of varnish i put on.
