The Crimson Fist Diary

After my nids not getting what i hoped from them i have decided to go back to what i am best at painting > marines. yes another, i have become very sick of painting ultra marines and now decided that each of my marine army's need to be a different chapter. So far i have one completed ultramarines my scouts what have there painting award so no need to do anything with them. Before i start the idea of going for a modem fists i was going to turn my rogue trader marine into them. I decided agents this and they have had a full work over and a few new very rare models added in that will be another diary once i have a good start to my fists.

Well back to the job at hand. This time around i just did not want a off the shelf marine army, i needed bling as i am not that good at modding i decided to do what not meny people do to a full army. I have gone crazy with chapter icons, with the help of the conversion packs from mail order and a large order to forgeworld every model in my army will have icons not just one but they are going to be covered in them.

Cost so far for the army is around $1600 and i still have about $200 to go on bases. I have all but the conversion kits from mail order that are on there way.

Today i show you the beginings of the fists this will be a slow diary this time as i am bumping up my painting and going to spend on average 10hours per model.

Note: The vindicator still has the marine left to do due to waiting on bits. Also the same with the storm shield i am waiting on logos from mail order.

Holy crap dude. How do you stay motivated in the face of that pile?! I'm having trouble with my Space Hulk figures... ^_^

What you've got so far though is looking good, I like the bases. They look nice.

Looks like my mountain-o-dwarfs  Cheesy The first ones are looking mint, although that Storm Sheild could do with a whacking great fist icon in the middle of it. It looks a little bare ATM

Loving it dude! Those are some nice bases too! I think the forge world pieces really help make it all cohesive.

Makes me want to crack into my salamanders again.

I'm wanting to re paint my crimson fists now ...i like the lighter blue over my dark midnight blue scheme
THAT is one awsome fiying base no way that can be snapped when stood on or dropped.

are you thinking of doing an honour guard for kantor?, i'm waiting for the new grey knights plastics to see if i can convert them.

i dropped kantor as my commander and changed him to a captain with the same loadout, due to a tooled up command squad does more damage than a honor guard.
