yup, fun for veteran 40k player like u, but for rusty 40k players like myself, I prefer to read the mission in advance as I am already struggling to remember all the standard rules.
I prefer to actually play some games during the tournament and not reading through my rulebook and mission pack every 2 mins.

Simons got a point, i played one of the new battle missions yesterday and got totally smashed.
not that i'm complaining, but i personally would like to familiarise myself with the missions if they're available

All missions used will be from the new " WH40K Battle missions" book. Everyone can also win the book after the conclusion of the tournament. It will be drawn along with numerous other prizes at the Sunday prize giving.

that's great.
so each table are going to get a copy of the mission or something??
becuase I don't have the new 40k battle mission book and not planning to get one either.
I wonder what happen when my opponent also doesn't have the mission book as well?

Personally (as a 40k TO) I share Simon's concern. I think that you'll need to be very careful in the selection of missions from the book to ensure they are balanced for tournament play.

40k missions are so important in a 40k tournament, because win/lose is totally depend on the misson pack a 40k tournament.

depends which ones u choose.... i chose 4 very specific ones for grumpy daemon with the proviso that each side dice off for the attacker/defender role.... i dont think the ones i chose offer an unfair advantage to either side.... and u have months to scope them out and get some practice in....
still, would be nice to see what u guys are playing b4 the event..... Dave, i cant believe u let dad smash u on sunday bro. gutted. u shoulda ripped those space wolves a new one. mind u.... he is a jammy git.

Hi,
Can I please confirm what armies the following people used:
Josh Thompson
Bruce Zhou
James Hale
Regan Ridge
Thomas Porteus
Sam Payne
Once I've got those I can upload to RankingsHQ and find out how Equinox shook things up.
Thanks
Pete

well i know Bruce Zhou played with his Imperial Guard Kreig, and Jame Hale with Salamanders Space Marines
got rightly smashed in this tournie. all good fun though, and i could've played my army a lot better, but that goes without saying. my army was actually weak as poos, i just wanted to bring along a bunch of models that haven't seen much action since the new codex came out. quite stoked that i sorted out how to use my flyrant though.
right now building building building.... there's going to have to be a whole lot more nastiness that i'll be able to bust out ooooooo
hey Damien, bummed i didn't get a chance to yarn to you properly - too absorbed in my games

I found it to be a great venue, decent lighting, dedicated food area, a bit of food near by as well, etc.
Its only limitation seems to be size, but things could afford to get quite a bit more cramped I'm guessing.
