Am I the only one who thinks the new Blood Angel models are quite simply stunning? In case you don't know what I'm talking about (which happens more than I'd like to admit), the new BA codex and miniatures were announced today. Now don't get me wrong, I have no idea what the BA codex says; well I do after having a look through it today when I made some preorders, but I have yet to play a game of 40k, and as such have very little clue on whether they'd make a good army. But if looks are anything to go on then give me some fangs and a lust for blood because I am sold...

The only downside is the cover art of the Codex... Blah...

I have to admit, BA's are the only Imperial Army list sitting on my comp in a sea of 40K chaos. If i was playing 40k at all at the moment I would be very tempted, although some of the new Special Characters seem a bit pants (fluffwise)

They look totally awesome, I'm only just starting out in Warhammer and always thought Marines seemed a bit hohum til I read about Blood Angels then I was misinformed that they may be retired and yet here they are. Anyway in the meantime I have gone for Orks which are also awesome. But since I haven't painted my Balck Reach marines yet I may just decide to paint them red hehe. I love those ones with wings I wanna buy em just to paint 'em just incredible.

Wow, if I was playing at the moment I would be collecting a BA force, how fricken cool are the golden dudes with wings! GW are finally getting the chance to add the detail to the chapters to make them really unique.

those angel wing marines look silly.  so not stoked.

same was done to the space wolves, everything over done to the nines

army's looking scary though, the amount of crap they can do.  looks like GW have finally decided to totally remove all the stops and in a cocaine induced frenzy are writing rules and making models coming from all sorts of ridiculousness

i definitely welcome that

though my dress wearing dark angels are feeling pretty damned insignificant right about now

Saw them in person at GW St Lukes. They look the business and are real mean when you actually paint them up. buggered that they aren't for sale as I would of had them as prizes for Equinox.

Just give it a while bro I'm sure you'll change you mind once you physically see them. The new sculpts and bits now give endless possibilities for conversion too.

no, i'm not contesting that the models look amazing.  as stand alone sculpts and kits they're definitely awesome, and i'm stoked that the quality of GW's is constantly on the up.

i'm just not sold on them based on my own personal taste of what space amrines, and blood angels should be about.  i like them being decorative, but there's line that these kits have crossed in terms for me.

i'm one of the guys who never liked the mephiston model and the inclusion of the vampire aesthetic to the blood angels

Land Raiders can only picked up as Dedicated Transport and they can Deep strike!!!!!

Mini Thunder Hawk can transport 2 different unit, 12 model (Termi count as 2) and a dread.  AV 12 12 12, but no additional D6 against melta/chainfist alike weapons.

Baal Pred has twin-linked assault cannon, can change to fire storm cannon (s6 ap3 template) for free.

Speaking of 'vampire aesthetics'... that Chaplain is one step away from being flying Vampire Lord with Walach's Bloody Hauberk in a Warhammer Vampire Counts army. Sweet.

yawwwwwn.

dude they ripped that sanguinary guys pose off of saint celestian and seth really does remind me of kharn.

i may buy the codex to use my chaos boys as 'counts as' blood angels but i aint stumping up for the figs....

55 oz? bux 4 5 plastic death company is a bit rich for me.

i thought the nid codex had some overpowered stuff in it till i read the bloods. omg. what the hell are they thinking with sum of that stuff.... space vampires? meh. i will stay chaos to the end.
