Hi guys,

I'm working on some ways to promote tournaments in New Zealand, and Fields of Blood fantasy in particular.
I would really like an awesome logo/picture/photo to use for this.

Do you mind if I ask how you are planning to promote some tournaments? It may help give people an idea on what sort of logo/pic/photo is appropiate too.

We have the GuardCon logo that was designed by Christian for our first GuardCon that can be used for the overall weekend event. I know a couple of people who draw. Did you want a special design just for each of the tournaments as well as the overall logo?

It'd be nice to get a general 'warhammer tournament' logo, and a specific 'fields of blood' logo. I'll have to grab a copy of the GuardCon logo at some stage too

I made a basic geometric one, which you can see in the poster. It can be found at the same site the players pack is on.

Excellent! As a general logo, I'm imagining some kind of stylised warhammer character or diorama, or maybe some warhammer symbols like weapons or chaos marks etc.
The Fields of Blood logo could be something similar to what was on the sponsored line of sight templates last year, the tournament name with blood splatters around it. I don't have any concrete ideas.

It's clear I haven't done this kind of thing before
My requirements should really be like this:
* It can't infringe on any GW copyright
* It has to look good at sizes between 5cm by 5cm and 2cm by 2cm, on a computer monitor, so it doesn't have to be too detailed.
* It has to be kidsafe/not explicit/ the kind of thing you wouldn't mind your mum/boss/kids seeing you looking at....
* Being generally bright is preferable to being dark and gloomy
* Cartoony or realistic doesn't matter too much

General logo:
* It should be obvious to warhammer players that it represents warhammer. Preferably warhammer tournaments.

FoB logo:
* Include "Fields of Blood" or "Fields of Blood Fantasy" or "Fields of Blood WHFB"
* Should be easily distinguishabl e from any advertising for FoB 40k...

Feel free to ask me any more questions to help us both figure out what it is I'm after

I'm under a little time pressure, so will probably wait until Monday and then carry on with very basic pictures that I whip up myself, if need be. However, if I do do that I'll still be looking for replacement pictures.

Ah A similar graphic would be fine, but having 2 distinct ones would be better (but hey, I'm a beggar here so won't be too choosy  )
As for the text/copy, I hadn't considered it. Something along the lines of "WHFB NZ" or "NZ Tournaments" would be the go. I haven't double checked if there are copyright issues around using "WHFB" as part of the logo
