http://www.gameplanet.co.nz/news/134455.20100205.Warhammer-40K-MMO-to-be-fully-unveiled-at-E3/

Looks like they are unveiling details of a 40K based MMO styled game. From what I heard, Warhammer online was less than fantastic as far as MMO's go.

Personally I find MMO's to be far too time sink oriented to offer any real value, the main value comes from meeting interesting people and joining a good community which most of us do via tabletop anyway.

Will be interested to see how they 'adjust' the fluff to fit it into a MMO styled game.

Okay I gotta say I like the concept art Smiley

It suits the grim darkness of the far future where everyone paints themselves in the most extreme colours possible and then rolls in the dirt Cheesy

I would possibly play it just to run around and check out the models if it is all of that level, after WoW, FF11 and some cheap Korean MMO's I can't bring myself to invest in another on a compedative level.

HELL!! i live in my stubbies and my wife beater.....act ually i even go without the wife beater. keep getting paint on anything i wear. and i never seemed to have the painting shirts my misses puts aside handy, soooo off comes the shirt.
my friends think its a laugh when they turn up, and i've got my beer in one hand, mini in the other and i'm generally got at least two paint brushes in my mouth ( which make it difficult with the beer, but thats another reason to go with out a shirt, spillages and all)

and on the subject at hand, after my addiction to WOW even a 40k MMO will not get me playing....... i hope.
BUT i am looking forward to the ultramarines movie. Grin
