Hello and welcome sports fans!

As a long and turbulent Spring Season, that saw a dramatic influx of Dwarf and Chaos Dwarf teams, finally draws to a close, we're getting ready for a new season... and a new plan, concerning the future of the ABBF. So read on for all the details on how to make yourself heard, because we wanna know what you want.

This issues features:

1) ABBF AGM 2010 - Monday 8 February from 6pm at Empire Tavern (corner Nelson & Victoria Streets)
2) Spring Championship 2509 Finals - Chris' Dark Elves vs Dan's Dwarves... this is one not be missed (on straight after the AGM)
3) Season of the Dead - New season starting soon!

5) Blood Bowl at BattleCry 2010

1) ABBF AGM 2010 - Monday 8 February from 6pm at Empire Tavern (corner Nelson & Victoria Streets)

This coming Monday we will be discussing the new plan of attack for the coming year. We would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions, so if you have time, please come along and speak your mind. Those of you who won't be able to make it can make their submissions by sending me an email back to this address before Sunday evening.

Topics up for discussion are:
- Venue and club days/times
- Season/League formats
- Season/League themes & house rules
- Ideas on how to recruit and keep new players... and get the veterans out of retirement!
- Tournament & event schedule
- vacant positions in the league commission
- anything else you'd like to bring up

So let us know your thoughts on any or all of the above, either in person on Monday, or via email before this Sunday. We look forward to seeing/hearing from you!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

2) Spring Championship 2509 Finals - Chris' Dark Elves vs Dan's Dwarves

As soon as we're done yapping, we'll dive straight into the action with the Spring Champs 2509 Final between Provocateur International (Dark Elf) and the dreaded Stumpies (Dwarf), the only one of no less than 4 (!) Dwarf and Chaos Dwarf teams this season. This epic match up between old rivals and veteran coaches Chris B and Dan N is one not to be missed... it's definitely gonna be bloody!

Right next door twill see the match for 3rd place between newcomers Lustrian Snakeskins (Lizardman) and the mighty Death Eaters (Dark Elf). This is bound to be another thriller!

So come along to watch or have a casual and unfriendly game of Blood Bowl yourself!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

3) Season of the Dead - New season starting soon!

That's right folks, the dead are stirring in the dark corners of the old world and as the new season approaches, we still haven't worked out the final details. Won't be long, though, and as the title for the new season suggests, we wanna see as many undead teams as possible this season. There are four of them to choose from: Khemri, Necromantic, Undead & Vampire.

Any other teams will of course be welcome, too... expect penalties for bringing a Dwarf or Chaos Dwarf team, though!

There will be some nifty little house rules to go with the season's theme. More details will be available very soon, so keep your eyes peeled.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

4) Mainland Bowl - 6-7 February 2010, Christchurch

Christchurch's premier Blood Bowl event will kick off for the first time this weekend. Check out the thread on Ausbowl ( http://www.ausbowl.com/index.php?name=ForumsPro&file=viewtopic&t=3618 ) or email Paul Deacon for more info: pauldeacon [at] xtra [dot] co [dot] nz

This will be awesome, so if you can make it down there this weekend, don't miss it!

--------------------------------------------------------------------

5) Blood Bowl at BattleCry 2010

There will be Blood Bowl at BattleCry in the form of exhibition matches and something fast and furious (and free) for everyone to join in. Details to be revealed closer to the time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

6) Blood Bowl Competition Rules Pack, i.e. LRB6 now online

These are the current official rules of the game and can be downloaded for free from the Games Workshop website:

That's it for today. Look forward to seeing you for the AGM on Monday, or hearing from you before then if you can't make it.

Until then, long live Blood Bowl!!!

Wouldn't mind getting into BB. Is it possible to get Blood Bowl dice from somewhere OTHER than buying the whole game?

Heya Big D, there are several options to get these dice:

1) There are always some on ebay.
2) Join the NAF (about $20 per year) and get coloured ones (currently red with white symbols)... http://www.thenaf.net/
3) Most of our regular players have several sets of dice. You might be able to persuade one of them to sell you a set.

Would be great to see you tonight for the AGM!
