raffle for equinox sunday the 24th

we have finally sorted  a good date for the raffle sunday the 24th of january. its less that 2 weeks away we will sell tickets over the day and have a draw at 4.30 any aditional items to chuck in are more than welcome

I've fronted up with "The Blades of Chaos" (a novel by Gav Thorpe), a Wood Elf BSB model, and a blue daylight bulb for painting at night, to contribute to the goodies available for winning.

ive got a falcon gav tank still on sprue and in box to put to the raffle, the box is a litte dented but every thing else is there and in perfect condition

Hope everyone's got the 24th marked down as it'll only cost you $2 for a raffle ticket and chances to win many a prize worth way more. It's all in a good cause for the club as well. If Rich could start itemising all the stuff at the beginning of the thread we can all get excited in anticipation

Slightly OT - but remind me why a raffle is needed to raise funds to run the tourney?  Surely that gets covered by entry fee's?

(I'd have thought it better to have a raffle for fundraising for the club as a whole - and maybe run it AT the Equinox tourney.  And put it towards new/improved terrain, tables or such like?)

Just curious is all.

thanks for asking  im sure there are others thinking the same. we are having the raffle as a fund raiser to pay for a bbq on the saturday night after the 3rd game thats what the money is going towards. it was put in to a thread we have before but i forget to add it this time around

Actually, philfy makes a good point about the timing of the raffle, I imagine it would make more money if we ran it on the Saturday afternoon.

Nah, Lezle has them cos I wasn't sure if I'd be at the club. So happens he doesn't turn up and I did last weekend.
So yes the raffle has got heaps of prizes. You should be able to sell a stack of tickets.
