Na, I'm keen! I like your demon list... very similar to what I'd do if I used demons. I doubt the Orcs will give you much of a game, but I'll try my best 

You arrive a bit later than everyone else typically don't you Philfy? Was it 1.30-2pm?

Playtesting for Dogcon means taking on "anything" - with 120 odd players attending the event there'll be army lists of any/every concoction.

And yup...  Be there by 2pm  (earlier if I can!), as finishing work at 7am...  starting again at 7pm..  means its the middle of the night for me

Yeah, cheers Philfy. Just so you know, Wolf Hunts doesn't work on a Thirster just like Beast Cowers doesn't. They are characters that follow (some of) the rules for monsters. Same would apply to Treeman Ancient also.

Can you field 2500pt of O&Gs while staying within the guidelines for DogCon?

- 1 Terror-causer
- 9PD and a bound; 5DD and a scroll



... and so on. These aren't hard caps but I want a realistic game; not to play against something that will never get into the tournament.

Can you grab the player pack off the IF site and work within the guidelines?

See? How soft am I? If you'd like it to be a bit harder I can drop one of the chariots for 2 more chukkas... up to you though.

Choppy. Can you replace the Trolls with anything? Not expecting to see them as there's no points benefit in taking a soft army.

A giant if I drop some stuff. But I consider the giant a softer option (depending on what army you're using). Or I could take 2x pump wagons and... I dunno, something else. What army are you taking? VC? Giant would be a good option against them. Anything shooty/offensive magic and it's just giving you 200pts.

Giant is likely your harder option against VC's Josh..  I can understand your logic in regards to any kind of shooting though.

(of course you know the answer to that is to throw the giant into combat asap and as often as possible so he can't be shot at right?)

Giant is without a doubt a decent choice against VCs, but I want to know which army I'm facing first. How well would he go against Dark Elves you think?   I usually just take him cause I like my model, not because he ever does anything other than die.

The Grave Guard getting isolated and the misplacement of the Wraiths were the biggest issues for me. You had some luck passing Fear checks but it's obviously not something I should be relying on

Looking forward to our next matchup - hopefully your Orcs vs whatever I field at FluffyCon next year.
