just a bit of a wonder about house rules in home games  or club games are there any house rules you like to use or would like to use if you have the chance

funny ones or ones that make the game work better or fairer ?

i was thinking that as i live next to a feneral home its +1 to summon skellys and zombies when i play vampier counts

I usually like playing with a house rule that allows Doomwheels to choose which unit it charges during its movement phase rather than having to wait for an "Out of Control" missfire result and hoping it rolls into an enemy unit.

Being a tournament player by n large (and not really playing games anywhere else other than tournaments since I began playing - with occasional playtest interludes at clubs), I don't use (nor am a fan of) anything like house-rules.

It can be thematic though, esp if playing campaigns or the like.

I do have one "house" rule though I guess...  that being...

People that come around to my place for games know that I have a house rule relating to terrain setup.  First we roll a d3, and then consult my extensive photo gallery of 2009 warhammer tournaments.

1 - fluffycon
2 - natcon
3 - TS2

Then we roll a d6, picking the set of photos for the game played on the weekend of whichever tournament was rolled up.

1 - game 1
2 - game 2 ... etc...

Then we set the terrain up exactly as it was for that tournament game based on the photos I took.  That way we can practice using a terrain setup that was encountered at random at an actual tournament event.

Okay, that is an excellent "house rule" Vaul. Must try this.
