I've got a list at the moment that fits all my stuff in, and still has 2 terror causers. Hopefully the system will allow a wyvern and a giant, cause that's not exactly OTT (and they are the best models in my army). The wyvern is now a 350pt whimp that will die in a stiff breeze

I guess that depends on whether two Terror-causers (one of them flying) combines with the rest of whatever you take to fit this statement:
Quote
Experienced tournament players, please note that a friendlier list than a “normal” tournament list will definitely be required to achieve an ON TARGET grading.
When you know for a fact that while in a normal tournament the Wyvern might be dead meat on a stick at FluffyCon he's only facing a maximum of 6PD + bound and likely very limited shooting and warmachines there's possibly a lot less love for the "he's a wimp" argument. In FluffyCon terms he might be a really hard monster (as in 'days of yore' level hard).
The emphasis is on rank and file taking a larger role in the game. Sounds like the sort of environment where two rank-breaking Terror-causers would have a field day.

Glen has actually made a
good point
about the judging criteria - as written fluffed up beasts would still get owned by fluffed up DE and might both get the same comp
I will have a rescope of that as a lot of it was predicated onTiered comp, in a "cut and paste" kind of way...
Good.

Well yes fluffed up Beasts would get Pants by relatively fluffed up Darkies, but then isn't that just a sign that a relatively standard Beasts army (for say, FoB) would fit the Fluffycon criteria without too much change?
I mean if I come up for Fluffycon I would probably just take mostly my current Beasts army that I use:
Doombull
2 Level 2s
Bestigors
2-3 Herds
3+ Hounds
2 CHariots
2 Mino units
Centigors
2 Spawn
Giant or Dragon Ogres
Now I personally can't see that being banned from Fluffycon (it might not be super, super fluffy, but why would aim for that?), and the only thing I removed was a 3rd Shaman for some Lolstigors and I'm pretty certain I could compete with most other armies under the Fluffycon rules? Especially with 5 wide...
Now if I had to soften that up much more to be allowed I'd be a bit worried...

Howz about:
The judges will each award a score for each list based on their own impressions of how it compares to all the other lists submitted for the tournament, taking into consideration the limitations on army design imposed by the Hard Caps. The cumulative score from the three judges can range from 24 to 60, weighted towards rewarding players who have embraced the ethos of the tournament.
+18 to +20 FLUFFY This army is clearly in the weakest and least powerful bracket at this Tournament compared to the other armies fielded. Simply fielding an unimaginative wall of core troops may not be considered FLUFFY.
+ 13 to +15 SOFT This army falls between FLUFFY and ON TARGET.
+8 to +10 ON TARGET This army is a reasonable build appropriate for this tournament where the army is significantly less powerful than the overall “power level” that one expects to experience when playing in a “normal” tournament. This could be, for example, because the army is considered inherently weak anyway (eg.Beasts) or because the player has “de-powered” an army considered strong (eg.DE). It looks fun to play against. The player is not out to annoy anyone with their build.
This tournament is not about squeezing value out of every point spent on optimal choices, but being liberated in this environment to give some unusual/less than optimal things a go as other players will hopefully be doing.
This is an opportunity to use some troops gathering dust on the shelf (Knights of the White Wolf, common goblins, Master Engineers, corsairs etc.)
N/A VETO Unfortunately you have missed the point of this tournament – which is to encourage fun, different and ON TARGET or better builds of armies. This army does not fall into any of the other categories above. It needs to be revised to be allowed to compete.

In principle your army looks fine - the devil of course being in the details of equipment, banners etc
FluffyCon might be the best chance they have of at least competing on a relatively level playing field for once

Depends... That could read 10 White Lions, 5 swordmasters and 40x2 spears, or 20 WL, 20 SM, 2x15 spears. It's still not that soft, but acceptable I would think. Mine is:
Orcs Warboss on Wyvern (30 pts of items)
Goblin caddy on chariot
Goblin BSB on spider
2x fast cav
2x arrer boyz
25 Orcs
2x20 NG's w/ one fanatic
15 Savage orcs
18 Black Orcs
5 SOBB (naked)
6 hoppers
2x chukkas
Giant
Doom diver
Lotsa models! Very minimal characters, 115pts of magic items including scrolls, no red flags, low tier army.

Hi Josh
I am stoked that you are considering coming along after being lukewarm about the concept last time.
So this comment is not designed to ruin your day BUT twin-linked terror causers are out, sorry
CSS has the draft and he will link tonight in a new thread - he is super busy at work
The purpose of providing the draft is so that people can make reasoned observations so that if I have missed something I can address it.
The purpose is not to engage in the protracted hand-wringing and "I am nerfed more than you" that got a bit of air-time last time and started to sap my will to live :-)
The warhammer games I have enjoyed the most over the years have involved two less-than-optimal armies slugging it out with a spell going off or a good round of shooting from a bunch of archers or 3 hits from the hero with a halberd having a cool reward, like killing a few figures, not melting whole units. That is part of the vision I have for FluffyCon.

Yup, all bought and paid for, I'll be there. Last year I felt there was more of a general drive to make all tournaments in NZ flufftastic which I didn't like, but now that I have a better understanding that it's more about providing variety, I am completely supportive.
No Wyvern and giant? :'( :'( :'(
Now I have to decide which is the better model. I guess I'll drop the giant as it's a complete liability anyway. The hard part will be filling the choices out with stuff as weak as him! Hmm... decisions, decisions.

If that's soft in the context of fluffycon I don't think woc are my best option. I don't know if there are enough concessions. Do the nobles have great weaons? Are there two eagles? How many guys are in your elite infantry units? How many scrolls does your archmage have? Depending on the answers to those questions, it might not be 'fluffycon' enough. Definately on its way though.

I can't figure out if this fits the 'unimaginative wall of core troops' criteria or not;
Highborn, Oaken armour, Shield, Fimbulwinter shard, Horn of the Asrai, Great weapon
Spellsinger , Elven Steed, Dispell scroll, Resplendence of Luminescents
15 Eternal Guard, FC x 3
10 Eternal Guard x 2
10 Glade guard, Musician x 2
5 Glade Riders, Standard, Musician x 2
5 Glade Riders, Musician x 2
3 Warhawk Riders
1 Great Eagle
Certainly doesn't have many hard choices
I'm actually almost considering taking the fluffy thing to the extreme, and fielding this list.

they are totally sweet...

Sure is different
Its not "gee I am using dwarfs so 10 units of 20 warriors will be OK" - that would bore the cr*p out of people.
Woodies would not know what the word "wall" meant anyway....

Did I make you drop your WoC? Your knees shouldn't be shaking from that HE list. It's only a draft with no pts calculated and yes plurals means more than 1. I'll take my core troops in ranks of 4 old school will that make you happier??
@Rion
I think you meant to copy Joshs list in your reply or something... Bourbon lately chap

That'll give your army a true horde of additional troops, cool. How are you going to carry everything there?

Dropping the giant I added a few extras here and there and a unit of 4 trolls. They will be my 'MATT DAMON' choice.
What's wrong with my cardboard box? I haven't dropped it yet!
