It's been awhile since I painted and I've gotten a little rusty, but I thought I'd get back into it with a Grey Knight Terminator; done in grey no less...

Day one:
Black Undercoat

Armor:
Foundation Grey Basecoat
1:1 water & Badab black washed all over
1st Highlight of foundation Grey on helmet

Gold:
Boltgun Silver Basecoat
Burnished Gold Coat
1:1 mix of Orgyn Flesh and Badab black

No love for Vent...

Day Two:

Further highlights. Started on the arms. Parchment and Seals started and washed.

Day Three:

More Highlights, I think I went to light with the grey, created a too sharp contrast. Color draws the eye immensely when using grey, the brightness of the red helps to offset the grey, and so I'm going to highlight right up to white on the blue as well. The snow was more for trial and error, the red is a drop of red wash to see what happens...

if u ever have the chance, the best grey- gay nites i have seen are paul monk's ones... real grey and lots of non metallic metallics. plus its based on the tenacious Daemonhunters with Kyle and jack black leading them with the pick of destiny as an objective. very cool.

and once again, i like your work...... gona paint sumthing tomorow now i seen this....

Looks good man, I like the darker colours on this guy.

Are you making an army of them or is this just a one off for fun?

Well, as I've never actually played a game I think right now it's just for fun. I might paint up a squad of them...

Tisk tisk! get some games in there man, once you get started you'll be itching for your next game.

Yeah, if you've got painting time to spare crank up a squad of these guys just for the cool factor Smiley I've always liked the look of the Grey knights, would make cool allies in your SM army.
