I finally decided to first complete my long deserted high elf project before I continue with any other new projects.

I have always liked the idea of creating unique army which has very strong distinctive theme and background full of imagination. I wanted my army to be able to tell a story of its own but without deviating too much from the original flavour of it all.

High Elf army of Avelorn
“North east of Ellyrion, acrossthe river Arduil, lies the great Forest of Avelorn, most ancient of all Elven realms. Upon its tamgled groves ancient glamours lie, and under its eaves creatures of legend still walk. Treemen tend the wild gardens of oak and suntree. Great Eagles nest in the enchanted hills, and unicorns walk in its sun-dappled glades. The Elves that live here are a strange, fey breed who share much in common with the Wood Elves of Athel Lothern.
Avelorn is land of great cultural significance to the High Elves. Since the dawn of time, this idyllic land has been ruled by a line of queens who are counted among the most beautiful Elf maidens ever to draw breath. When Aenarion the Defender took his place as the first Phoenix King, he chose Astarielle, ruler of Avelorn, to be his Everqueen. Since that time millennia ago, each queen of Avelorn has fulfilled the same role, keeping alive one of the most important and ancient traditions of the High Elves.”

I read this few pages reference related to the inner kingdoms of Ulthuan, and Avelorn, the most ancient of all Elven realms gave me the inspiration to create a unique high elf army with very strong wood elf theme. With theme and background decided it was time to get down to business.

my lion chariots finally arrived, finished off my White Lion Princes and started on my White lions.

I decided to use the plastic lion chariot crews as White lions, I found the metal version are ugly and clearly do not fit into the rest of my force.

good work Simon. You are completly right about the white lion models. The ones you are using are tons better than the metal ones. At this rate you'll have 2 units of 6 dragon princes, 12 white lions, and two or more chariots. Ace!

either winter or autumn color scheme.. still haven't make up my mind yet.

gonna use avatars of war 's light mage as my Archmage

started on my SeaGuard aka Everqueen personal maiden guards (without shield), I decided NOT to give my sea guards any shields as it fits better in to the theme of my army.
