Hi all,

Just to let you know that the Battlecry website is live and ready to take your registrations. We have a range of events happening this year, and the website is being updated daily.

We have 40K, FluffyCon, Warmachine/Hordes, Flames of War, Fields of Glory, Monsterapocaly se and much more.

Head to the website www.theamerica club.net.nz/battlecry2010 and you will find a registration link on the page. Register for the event of your choice, and then arrange the fee and you are all done. Or you can fill in a form at the club and just hand me it and the cash.

First deadline has past, and prices for all the events have just gone up to $30 for a 2 day event.

So far the registrations for wargaming look like this:

Fluffycon: 13
40K: 9
Flames of War: 3
Fields of Glory: 2

"The 40K tournament will follow standard GamesWorkshop tournament guidelines, with armies made up of 1 detachment of (Huh?) points"

Crap, this means say Space Marines and Sisters of Battle mixed armies are not allowed right?

Thats right. Unless a Witch Hunters army is allowed to take marine allies within the WH codex, which they may well be able to do.

Thats right. Unless a Witch Hunters army is allowed to take marine allies within the WH codex, which they may well be able to do.

Hmmm the Witch Hunters codex states they maybe used as allies in imperial armies ( this should cover IG, SM and deamonhunters), with the requirement you can only use 0-1 HQ slot, 0-2 troop slot 0-2 elite slot, NO heavy support maybe taken. And you still need to fill minimum 1HQ and 2 troop from the parent army list which I have done.

So the 'main army' is Space Marines but I have 1HQ, 2TROOP and 1ELITE choice taken from the witch hunter list, as far as the codex is concerned it is legal

Can someone confirm that this will be allowed in this tournament? EDIT; anyone can hook me up with Waydes e-mail address so I can get this confirmed before I book leave and all that stuff Smiley

should be, but the main thing is to hit up wayde and he'll ok or veto the list - last year there was a kid with a deathwing army that had DH and WH allies though

the ghost player was a bit confused as to how it could work, but apparently it was totally above board

Ahhh cool yeah that's the method I will be using them in also, it's legal in the codex so shouldn't be a problem, now the real hurdle is time off work Smiley

Sweet, we need to sort out stuff asap for it so I can start advertising your event. Message me if you have a generic overview so I can put that up on the website as a place holder to start with.

Karen I noticed you had W&H listed as the masters, it isn't. Could you please remove that tag?

Cheers Smiley

Sure, but I thought we were carrying on the annual Masters like we did at this years BattleCry. What sort of heading do you want instead?

Registering for this one soon, managed to get the Sunday off work!

Just a quick question, anyone have a guideline for how to create and an army list for submitting to the judges? I've never entered any tournies before, this'll be the first.

I heard the excel spreadsheet army builders are not accepted.

Make sure you type it up nice I normally use word or excel.

Normal you write each unit clearly if you have more than one unit of exactly the same thing do them separately. And print your list out handwritten list = badness(just ask half the 40k masters players... and Phil wu)

Scar Vet = x
Shield = x
= 88

12 x Suarus = x
Command = x
Spears = x
= 173

12 x Suarus = x
Command = x
Spears = x
= 173

easy!

It's all good, I've got it all laid out really nice and straight forward in excel currently.

All thanks to a quiet Sunday shift at work Cheesy, I also got most of my land raider assembled too Cheesy

I've registered on the site for 40K, done that last week, still waiting on a confirmation e-mail though, how long before I should be contacting someone?
