AMAZING MAN LOVE IT.  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

That is so what i was hoping you did that and would love to have done it but you are just way better than me and i would pay u so much to do that for me that is just class and wonderful work. The paint jobs the models its just WOW, i cant say how much i want to take them from you. So want to see them in real life those pics are bad but they still look sweet with a bit more light they would look fecking insane.

How much to do this for me man and paint them as good as that. Even just paint and mod me 22 SH nids, or tell me how u did it and what paints and that. Just amazing Regan even my bought $100 aliens dont look that sexy.

I Bow down to you for the love of the movies and doing this, Aliens the best movie ever.

Thanks, Laz. Really, the aliens weren't that hard to do. I just followed the guides on the alienids website I posted a while back. I'd love to do some for you, but I wouldn't feel right charging for it because it is so easy (and I'm going overseas soon so may not have time). Just get yourself some greenstuff and follow the guides - simple!

As for the Marines, they were mainly from a company called Copplestone Castings (a range called Future Wars). Hasslefree Miniatures made the Ripley and Newt figs and Bishop is just a Cadian. As for Vasquez, she was the trickiest, using about 3 different figs and a bit of greenstuff to get the right look - she's the best of the bunch in my book, though.

The dude strapped to the wall was just a zombie against a Necromunda bulkhead, greenstuffed webbing, and a GS facehugger egg. I plan to use them as the dead marine and relic.

I bought most of the figs years ago to convert just for the hell of it, but they've definitely found a home now that Space Hulk is back in town!

Painting is a breeze. You spray them black, then drybrush them a dark grey (Codex + Black is what I'd use), then a lighter drybrush of lighter grey (straight Codex I think), followed by a very light drybrush of mithril silver, focusing on the sharper areas (ie the claws and teeth).

I spray varnished them as I normally do (matt or semi gloss), then got a pot of gloss varnish (GW 'Ardcoat) and painted it on the skin to really make it look slimy and shiny. It took me about 2 hours to do around 20 Stealers (at the most!), so it really is simple - just make sure you don't drybrush the banana heads too much, I kept those fairly flat black.

Have fun!

Looking cool! Not blurry as such, rather dark though. I like the Brood Lord.

At least your aliens look scary: the way that GW have painted them on the box makes them look like they are part of The Muppet Show. Wink

That's really sweet man, I must have seen the directors cut of Aliens about 20+ times.

My other friend is working on Avatar and actually had a chat with James Cameron himself, lucky bugger.

I'd really like to see these up close, or hopefully you can work something out for better pics, they deserve clear pictures Smiley

heh, friend of pete's was an extra on avatar too, still doesn't know yet if he's made the final cut though.  asked him if it was true that after filming one of his movies wraps the crew make themselves "I survived James Cameron" t-shirts. he's apparently a real arsehole to work with.

friend didn't seem to have any issues with him though

I agree, much nicer pictures there, those mini's are great.

If I didn't work Sundays I'd totally be there to have a game with those.

Cheers. Currently working on a Predator to complete the set. No idea what I'll use him for. Librarian, perhaps? Tongue

As requested, the completed Predator. I put it on a plasticard base, as he's a lot taller than the Marines, so putting him on a thinner base goes some way towards lessening the difference.

Very nice!

That mask is perfect, dreads look cool and the netting is really well done also.

He should be should be taller than the marines Preds are pretty big buggers.
