Will be bringing Space Hulk to club this Sunday (13-09-09). Does anyone feel like spending the afternoon crawling through a wrecked spacecraft with me?

I'm keen, I've played the first level against my son but it'd be nice to have a hard opponent, hes not bad, just predictable

sweet looking foward to it.

the round bases make it hard to move and play on the space hulk board there just a little too big.

@Hereticus - sweet as, looking forward to it. (My name's spelled Regan btw).

@Eisenhorn - which round bases are you referring to? I took my Deathwing army, which was on 40mm round bases, and put them onto new 25mm round bases (with steel mesh) - this size always worked well in the previous versions of the game.

i was using the normal ones only cause i was too lazy to cut the space hulk ones out. the 25mm one would work heaps better, the genestealers looked/worked fine

Ah, I see. Well Terminators used to be on the smaller bases, so it was a case of returning them to the old style. My 40K army hasn't seen any use in quite a while so I didn't mind making the change. The army is old school Deathwing, painted as they appeared in their first appearance in the Deathwing supplement for Space Hulk 1st Edition in 1990, so it's kind of like coming home for them...

Am possibly picking up a copy of the game myself, soon. Can't wait to have a game!

No expansions for this edition, apparently, though I'm sure the player community will generate as many house rules/mods as have been made for the other editions. Not sure how widely this edition will be accepted by the hardcore fanbase though - there's still a lot of love out there for 1st edition.

Besides - how hard could it be to have Chaos Terminators instead of Imperials? At the end of the day, what's the difference? Just proxy them.

Blasphemy!!! The Inner Circle will have your head and your eternal soul will fall far from the shining light of the Emperor for that traitorous and heretical slur on the honour of your chapter and on the Astartes as a faithful and loyal serving body of the glorious Imperium of mankind.

Besides... Chaos Terminators have spikes. That's a pretty huge difference in gaming terms. OSH hazards etc.

LOL. You know what I mean - stat-wise they would be basically identical in a game like Space Hulk.

And then my Deathwing could hunt them in a special Marines vs Marines scenario.

Nice rules. Not too unbalanced and with good flavour. There are rules for using Orks instead of 'Stealers on this forum, too. Sounds like a good option.

Yeah, they don't look too bad. Might have to use them for my Aliens Colonial Marines. Would be interested to see how many guardsmen they suggest taking though, as I only have 10 Colonial Marines at the moment.

We played the first 2 levels one way each
Hereticus 3
me 1
I had great fun i may have been able to win on the second level (it's would've been a long shot) it's more for the marines with a couple of long corridors but i wanted to smash stuff with the thunder hammer and blast away with the assault cannon
