From the website http://www.huttclub.co.nz/home/conventions/NatCon10/

NatCon10
With next year's Nationals just around the corner, we thought we should start letting you know what's happening.

When?
NatCon10 will be held over Easter Weekend 2010. For the calendarly minded of you, that's the 2nd - 4th of April, 2010.

Registrations will open in November and will close in February. Cost will go up the longer you leave it!

Where?
We'll be hosting NatCon10 at the St Patricks School Hall in Upper Hutt. The school has recently completed a significant expansion of the hall and there's a lot of new space. Dinner will be held at the Totara Lodge.

What?
There'll be a range of games on offer at NatCon10. At this stage we expect to hold:

DBMM
15mm DBR
25mm DBR
Field of Glory
Flames of War
Warhammer 40K
Warhammer Fantasy
Warmachine
World War II Spearhead
Moderns
More?

If you want to know about any of the above (or something else!) please contact the registrar, Bede Bailey, on: natcon2010@gmail.com

We'll have competition info up for you before you know it.

Work will not allow me to take the weekend off.  Ouch.  Unless I change jobs before that weekend I will miss out on my favourite event Sad

anyone from auckland going to natCon?

the last day for fantasy Registration is 1 Mar right??

I just managed to arrange some annual leave for easter weekend so I'm keen to go if someone don't mind to share motel cost with me...

I know it is a bit rush,  but it is really really hard for me to arrange annual leaves months in advance because I work in the hospital...Sad

I’m pretty keen to go myself Simon, but I am on an extremely limited budget. Main reason for selling my elves is so I can go in the first place.
If I manage to sell them you can count me in, if not you can count me in for a tag along if your driving down, and Ill be more then happy to sleep in the car Tongue

Hmm, my brother and I were going to go together, but he's just pulled out, so I'll chat with the Mrs (we were going to go down together) and see what she wants to do. She'll likely still want to come which means one or maybe two seats in my car. I've offered to Bobby Grindrod who's getting back to me, that leaves Rion and Simon wanting seats. I'll have to get back to you fellas. I'm trying to get everything sorted by this weekend (before March 1).

Oh, and I'm hoping to stay at Harcourt Holiday Park.

@Chris

mind if I fly along with you guy.. seriously don't want to go alone...

I'd be happy to have the company for the flight but you'd have to check it with Chris, he's putting the traveling Warmachine players up on his couches/spares for making the trip. Also I don't know how well the WFB schedule combines with the Warmachine+Beers one.

Ok, so the plan now is if 3 people want to come, we take my car, if 4 people we take my wife's car. We're trying to find somewhere for around $50 a night for the two of us and there are a couple of options assuming on availability. Staying four nights (Thurs - Sun). Chances are it'll be a backpackers or hostel, etc.

Registered today (just in the nick of time). Still working on the accommodation thing, but have a couple of options I'm waiting to hear back from. In the car so far is me, wife and Rion. I'm assuming, Rion, you'd want to stay at the same place we do... correct? So what are you wanting to do Simon? Do you want to drive down with me too and stay with us?
