have you thought of running some thin highlights on the edges of the armour plates of these guys? either a semi-thinned mix of skull white and bleached bone, or just bleached bone/skull white by itself

if you have, i'll just shut my trap

overall looking good Luke, I'm really liking how these guys are turning out, the palette choice is right up my alley i've decided

The tin bitz surfaces are highlighted with mithril silver, but that's about it.

This miniature was purchased from Gamezone, and here's how it looks so far.  Haven't finished it.  The brown of the armour has a little red mixed in, as an experiment.  The most interesting thing about the miniature is that it is not to scale with GW chaos knights, while it kinda fits in with marauders.  Therefore it makes an ideal sorceror on barded steed with enchanted shield (which I sometimes use anyway).

Progress on the HOUNDS, since these guys are both a throwaway unit and one of the most important units in my army at the same time, i've gone for special treatment on the bases.  Instead of using the micro arts bases on them, i've used some gravelly stuff like what has gone on my TK bases, with some added skulls and stuff from spare sprue material.

Chariot nowhere near done but it has to be said, those 50x100mm skull bases really rock.  There are just so many skulls.

From what I saw on the weekend Luke, they look pretty nice.  Your painting skills are improving no end!  Good work Smiley

It is a weaker army than the others I have played before, but the style is a lot more fun and fresh.  It feels good to go out and get into a lot of combats and have quite a decisive game.  I like to use lists that make use of all the models i've painted up, and those lists aren't the hardest I can make mainly because having 2x warriors on foot aren't optimal.

Anyway i've got a gaming table up and running, parking on the street is free after 5, and you have four armies to pick from if you want to slug it out and learn the pace of the game in a low points value setting.  Hit me up if you wanna make a time.
