Welcome back sports fans!Preparations for the big event are well underway, so we wanted to keep you posted on what's happening and let you know about Roll Jordan's special mail-order offer... read on for all the details.
1) Prize Support & Sponsors
2) Roll Jordan Miniatures - special mail-order offer
3) Accommodation & Transport
4) GSC'09 - registration now open
5) Eucalyptus Bowl '09 - tourney round-up--------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Prize Support & SponsorsGames Workshop has granted premier event status for GuardCon this year and this includes our very own Greenstone Cup. As such, we'll be getting our share of prizes from the GW prize pool. In addition to that, we've been busy little bees here at the ABBF headquarters and have managed to secure a whole heap of little extra prizes. Our sponsors this year so far are (in no particular order):
Games Workshop, Roll Jordan Miniatures, Goblin Forge and Shadowforge Miniatures
As always, the event is proudly supported by the NAF, who have also scored us some prizes.
Coaches can sign up or renew their NAF membership at the event for $20, which will give you a $5 discount on the entry fee as well as a set of the awesome new red and white NAF blocking dice. You can check out those beauties here:

2) Roll Jordan Miniatures - special mail-order offerThe good people at Roll Jordan Miniatures have not only been so kind as to support us with prizes, but they have also offered us a very special mail-order combo deal. Here's how it works:
"If anyone wants an order sent to the tournament, it can be done offering a 20% discount on the retail and free shipping if sent with the prizes. In return next tournament we will give back 20% of the profit to the tournament for sponsorship."Now how about that?
To make use of this special offer, check out their website at
http://www.rolljordan.com/public/store/index.php - pick the things you want and let us (the GSC organisers) know about it. We will then place a combined order which will be shipped to the tournament, where you can then pick up your lovely new toys.
All orders need to be with us by 20 August 2009 at the very latest. People we don't know also need to have paid for their order in full by that time, or it will not be included (we'll do the currency conversion work for you). Details on how to pay in advance will be provided when you place your order with us.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
3) Accommodation & TransportSeveral out-of-towners have already announced their attendance for this year's event. Trouble is, it looks to be a very busy weekend here in the big smoke, so accommodation close to the venue is very scarce. We would like to hear from anyone who would be willing and able to put people up for the weekend and/or be able to provide transport to and from the venue.
Same goes for those that need accommodation and/or transport. Please get in touch and let us know as soon as possible.
