I would say both lak detail in the painting side need some highlights and low lights in there possibly start using some washes i think i see a light one on the greens. possibly add more coats.

But out of the two i would pick the green/bleach ones as they look the best painted out of the two. The black and blue guys just look a little boring with out the correct highlights.

At last! Another fellow who does not do gratuitous highlights all over the show! Well done! Let natural light show the detail.  Cool

Realism is the key to ALL model painting. Do not be tempted to change/ruin your painting style because others find it different/odd. Wink

I very much like the black and blue blokes. The other jokers look good too. Up to you in the end isn't it? Smiley

Where are the heads from? Pig Iron?

i like the blue/grey combo but agree that you should try at least one or two levels of high lights ..... i would suggest with painting with such dark tones, that your first level of paint be one step darker than the colour you want. ie: add a little black to your base colour ..then do a heavy dry brush of your main colour...and then if you want (or a brave enough) another lighter highlight just on some folds of cloth....and dude don't forget to clean the flashing....bu t the dark scheme is more meancing/futuristic....and love the heads
