I'll bring a brush and a pot of paint or two on sunday, explaining it is far too hard, much easier to show.

I typically go: Spray Primer>Base Coat>Highlight>Edge Light (not really worth its own step)+Weathering

I shall come watch, my painting has far too many more steps than that... though I think it's mostly due to trying to bring somethingreaso nable out of block painting.

I should be able to put out a 1000pt army WFB shortly.

I can't...
Stoopid fantasy. With some stuffs from Maelstrom I might be able to make it... It would be packed to the gills with magic items.

Skink Priest
Stegadon
Engine of the Gods
Rod of Power

2x15xSaurus w.spears +FC =410

4x 10 skinks w. blowpipes = 280

I totally forgot I promised to teach painting until I went to update this morning. Got too preoccupied watching Simon's Hail Mary.

In other news: I've assembled and based the Treb (IMO Warmachines look incomplete without bases), I also re-pinned the BSB for conversion and ripped the Damsel off the teeny weeny horse she was on.

Unfortunately some wank in wellington bid me out of a $100 Brettonian Battallion by $1 after I went to bed last night so I have to wait for Maelstrom to get off their cans and post me some Rn'F to assemble!

I do have a few bits I'm after that you guys can see if you can hook me up with here. Mostly its the Sprites off the WE sprues and I could do with some of the out there branchy bits off the Dryads if anyone has any spare, the rest are mainly hairy heads and some scrolls off the Flaggelant sprue.

I've got VC Skeleton and GG bits for trade or small moneys if anyone can hook me up.

I'll get pics of the Treb before I start painting but I think I might go Damsel first even if I don't have a horse for her.

Can hook you up with most of the stuff just not the scrolls or flage heads. Will bring Sunday when you give your long awaited Tut Cheesy I also totally forgot as Steg to pet food conversion was intense. I'd like as many skulls as you have spare for swap otherwise no monies required. You just have to also thank Fuj, Nik, Nick n Leith who provided me some of the parts for my WE army.

Cheers

I'll bring some Bits in on Sunday for swaps.

I walked out of my cave for a coke this evening and th Mrs asked me what the hell I'd been doing for so long and I made the mistake fo saying "painting the hair and cleavage on my damsel"...

Mistake #1.

I blame it on Maelstrom, holding out on me with the Forgeguard.

Amusingly enough now they're holding out with my Btrettonian Boxes... FML.

If anyone wants anything worth splitting shipping from a site that sells Gorge Guard let me know because I needs some and I'll need the extra boxes eventually anyway.

Haven't been painting anything because I haven't had anything to paint...

I've worked on a Damsel a bit but I've had to re-do the white a few times because it didn't look right so thats put updates back a bit. I'm really jonesing for the Forge Guard now eh.

Shocking I know, but Pics of my BSB today!:

Thanks to Phil for hooking me up with some Sprites on the weekend, maybe I'll continue the trend of being a week late and remember some skull like payback this weekend Grin

If I don't get an email from Maelstrom tonight about my back back orders I'm going to go ballistic at them. I played Forge Guard on sunday the the love is Hard to stop, if Vags had a box I might be convinced to *shock* pay Retail for them.

Gencon Hype and possible MkII announcement at the Con have sparked some enthusiasm to paint the yellow devils again but nothing is really there that inspires me to paint it... Curses!

Thats his arm.

I would have gone to more extent to show that the banner cross pole itself is part of his arm chris, maybe more tree like. It looks a little too straight IMO.

His arm is still there and so is the banner pole, the seed of the tree grows in his arm and grows out and around the banner pole to fuse them together.

I'm still looking for additional bits embellish him but he's 90% done

Good to see those Wood elf bits straight into action. The modelling is looking very original and cool.
Bretonians is def good pick as its got minimium models you need to paint. Not to mention a certain gobbo army in bret drag thats cleaning up at the club at the mo Grin

I assume you got your Maelstrom in the post as well, so looking forward to seeing the rest roll out.

Theres a box of Knights and a Brettonian Battalion holding my order up at the mo apparently.

In the good news column though I did manage to get some help from the awesome guys at Defiant Gaming on the Forge Guard front, they had one in stock and they'll ship me the second box when it comes in next week. Legend!

More Bloggage

My Brettonians have shipped apparently so they should be here semi soon, actually looking forward to the Forge Guard a lot more although that might be due to the insane wait I've had.

Also the sneak peaks of the Retribution book I've been getting have made me really want to swing an advance copy from Jack but he's away at Gencon so I'll probably have some trouble getting the underlings to filch me one.
