I'm guessing I'm gonna have to see them in person. It'll be interesting to compare the P3 white to GW's. Looking very imposing.
How many more layers are you planning on the model?

B&L are done enough for me to play with them, I'm sure I'll find some detail thats been missed though.

I find thinking in # layers confusing as I tend to feather my highlights so it cuts the number drastically

Thats kinda what I'm looking for, a Unique idea that might motivate me to finish the army (stripper poles not so much though). Its not like I'm in any rush though, I'm quite busy with some new WM initiatives and progress plan that I'm working on for the coming year.

Here are a few ideas I have in mind, going to be my next warhammer fantasy projects at some stage.

1.   Wood/high elves army – I started already, basically base on the warhammer fantasy story line, when the high elves decided to leave the old world and hide their asses back on the island. Some of the elves decided to stay behind and later became wood elf.
White lions, lion prince (dragon prince), lion chariots, archer (glade guards), reaver (glade riders), eagle, prince on eagle with reaver bow… etc.

2.   circus wood elf army -  An army from the circus, using 40k harlequins as war dancers, use your bear and dwarf dude, as ringmaster on a stag. Magician as spellsinger, animal riders as wild riders. Then u can do some really cool conversion for a unit of ethereal guards, with a mix of fire breather, gymnastics, acrobats, jugglers etc.(probably be my next fantasy project)

3.   Bretonnia Vampire count army – Bretonnian themed vampire count army. Knights of the realm as black knights, grail knights, as blood knights etc..
4.   Goblin empire army, like my Gobotonnia army but use empire rules..
5.   pirate themed dark elf army – lots of consairs, octopus as hydra…etc
6.   pirate themed dog of war army – using Warmachine models, like sea dogs, and merc’s solos.. etc

some of my ideas for now…

nicccccccccccc ccccccccccce~

chris, do u edit your pic with any software (eg photoshop) after u took the pic?? or straight from the carmera??

i think the pics will look a LOT better if u edit the lighting a bit. and I can tell your carmera' s megapixel is not that great becuase the details are not too clear..

but, it still looks MMMMMMean AS~

I do use a program to hit the white balance back to normal as the lights always yellow my pics up. Other than that no, the pics are quite nasty because my camera might well be older than some of the club members...

Unfortunately with the not so awesome pic quality editing the light levels is almost impossible, it just washes them out instead of brightening them.

Lol, if I paint more than 3 layers of paint its for a competition... I don't think I've painted that hard in a year.

Blending highlights is easy once you know how, like a lot of things it looks harder than it is.

Rockbottom is the shizzle, Napoleon Dwarf Pirate FTW!

Unfortunately I'm running out of models to paint for Searforge, I'll have to space them out for blogging while I put together some Brettonians... whenever Maelstrom ships them. I made up movement trays for my two M@A units and a Realms unit and Ordered one Realms and a M@A plus a Citadel Wood from Maelstrom with the summer Madness Voucher and Simon is hooking me up with some more models.

I'll be doing my guys up in the style of the Aklemy Avalonians where those men the lady of the lake takes away are blessed by the Beathacraan. This should let me avoid the gay rainbow that some brettonian armies end up looking like.

Consequentiall y I'm after a Faye Enchantress model if anyone wants to part with one as well as some on sprue M@A/Realms and desperately in need of the WE spites bits off the WE sprues that I hear people rarely use. I'm also after suggestions for more wild and worn bits than the usual brettonian helmets and stuff, these guys aren't shiny and fancy. The Grail Knights are the only ones that I'm planning to have full face helmets on so I need a fair few suggestions.

I've started 5 Fantasy armies, I never finish them. Thats the problem.

I'm hoping that means theres someone out there with one to spare so I can pick up all the models quick and have no reason not to at the least assemble all the models so I can play games and get my motivation to finish it rolling.

the problem is, most ppl play big game at the club, so it is really hard to find anyone to play with if u don't have a big army.
probably start off small, have a few 1000 points games and then expand your army.

i can give u a few 1000 points games while u r building up your army to keep u motivated.

So you've decided what army you're gonna build, sweet! Looks like WFB has recruited a coupla new players. If you need to borrow anything to field an full army for play testing give us a yell. My bretonnians haven't been outta the box in a age.

Lol, if I paint more than 3 layers of paint its for a competition... I don't think I've painted that hard in a year.

3 layers = undercoat, colour, maybe more of the same colour Cheesy

So how do you do blending then?
